my first shot at banners

Ok, so this is my first banner, it took an hour to remove the anti-ailising from charizard:

Constructive critism could help, I think it needs some cleaning up.
Also, how do you remove the anti-ailising so quickly?

Its good for your first try. But try saving banners as png.

Ah-ah! While paint is great for spriting, it will be very hard to make high quality banners; You pulled a fine job with Paint, but it gives you almost no space to improve. May I recommend GIMP? It can be as good as Photoshop and it's free If you need tutorials I may get you some, once my internet decides to cooperate - for some reason I can only access Bulba and GPX+ Weird...

Yes, use Gimp/PS.
I only use MSPaint for sprites.

Aww. Well, there is portable gimp...I think it doesn't need to be installed! Worth a try

What, no love for Paint.NET? It has a more user-friendly interface, and is a lot simpler than GIMP, in my opinion. It's what I use to make my banners, and people seem to love those...
