This is my team for the IPGL.

Smeargle@Focus Sash
Timid
252 Speed
252 Def
6 Sp. Def
Own Tempo

Baton Pass
Agility
Swords Dance
Taunt/Spore

My lead, either agility against a sweeper (or if I need Glaceon) or Swords for even more power for Electivire. If I get in both by a miracle, I usually go to Blaziken for his balance.

Electivire@Expert Belt
Adamant
252 Atk
252 Speed
6 HP

Thunderpunch
Fire Punch
Cross Chop
Ice Punch

My first-out powerhouse, it pretty much OHKO's all with super-effective hits. If I find something without a weakness to his attacks, I either switch to something stronger agaisnt it or (for Sableye/Spiritomb) use Thunderpunch.

Snorlax@Leftovers
Relaxed
252 Def
252 Atk
6 HP
Thick Fat

Body Slam
Sleep Talk
Rest
Earthquake

My wall, Snorlax takes it all and returns it pretty well. Rest keeps it alive and Talk keeps it fighting.

Alakazam@WiseGlasses\
Modest
252 Sp. Atk
252 Speed
6 Sp. Def
Synchronize

Focus Blast
Psychic
Charge Beam
Energy Ball

My Special Sweeper, Alakazam covers most types. Psychic is for STAB and Sp. Def lowering and Charge Beam is for Sp. Atk up. Focus Blast is for high power and Energy Ball for a utility tool.

Froslass@Choice Scarf
Timid
252 Sp. Atk
148 Speed
100 Sp. Def

Trick
Spikes
Taunt
Ice Beam

She's my Stall/annoyer, moves courtesy of jimiinthesky. Trick to screw them over with the Scarf, Ice Beam to protect against Dragons (and to be faster than them if need be to keep the Scarf), Spikes are self explanitory, and Taunt to stop certain Poke dead.

Blaziken@Life Orb
Mild
252 Atk
100 Sp. Atk
148 Def

Blaze Kick
Flamethrower
Sky Uppercut/Double Kick
Mirror Move

Blaziken has good Special Attack and Attack. I need few other reasons to put him on my team, especially if he gets Smeargle's Baton.

as i am myself a challenger at the ipgl, (and have won two badges ;) i thought this would be a good time for my first proper rate :)

This is my team for the IPGL.

Electivire@Expert Belt
Brave
252 Atk
252 HP
6 Sp. Atk

Thunderpunch
Fire Punch
Dynamicpunch
Giga Impact/Ice Punch

the ev's here are awful, 252 att all fine, but the hp's pretty useless i'm affraid. wack them all on speed, and then maybe the other 6 on hp. dynamic punch's accuracy is also shocking, and giga impact's recharge's turn will just end up in you being killed. if you really want a pysical sweeper, give it cross chop over d-punch, and earthquake/ice punch over giga impact. if not, used the mixed set on smogon.

Snorlax@Muscle Band
Relaxed
252 Def
252 Atk
6 HP
Thick Fat

Giga Impact
Sleep Talk
Rest
Metronome/Bulk Up

change the ev's to 168 HP / 120 Def / 220 SpD, and his item should really be leftovers. restalk is fine, but again, giga impact sucks, give it body slam for added para chance. noone really uses metronome, because it's so unpredicatble, i guess if you like that, fine, but if not, use any of the elemental punches or earthquake.

Glaceon@Icy Rock
Modest
252 Sp. Atk
252 Sp. Def
6 Speed

Water Pulse
Blizzard
Hail
Mirror Coat

as special sweepers go, glaceon's not the best because of it's terrible speed. it works best on a hail team, you'd be better off with somthing like alakazam or gengar. if your insistant on glaceon, perhaps change the ev's to make use of it's good defensive stats, such as 100 def/252 spA/152 spD, but it wont really work because ice has so many weaknesses.

Froslass@Focus Sash
Mild
252 Sp. Atk
148 Speed
100 Sp. Def

Shadow Ball
Ominous Wind
Psychic
Blizzard

froslass is a great pokemon, because of it's typing and great speed. though i would change this to make it a staller/annoyer. the ev's should be 4hp/252 spA/252 spe, and timid nature. give it a choice scarf and trick. then spikes, taunt and ice beam. this well help against threats agasint your team, and will also be able to set up spikes when the opponent brings out a wall. ice beam to cure your team's weakness to dragons, and if you keep choice scarf you can outrun a mence after a DD.

Blaziken@Leftovers
Brave
252 Atk
100 Sp. Atk
148 Def

Blaze Kick
Flamethrower
Sky Uppercut/Double Kick
Mirror Move

i used to adore blazekin, but i had to eventually give in to the fact that everything blazekin does, infernape does better. look into infernape on smogon, maybe a life orb set would work well here, to be on the recieving end of a smeargle baton pass.

Smeargle@Brightpowder
Timid
252 Speed
252 Def
6 Sp. Def
Own Tempo

Baton Pass
Double Team
Swords Dance
Sketch (not sure what, yet...)

this should really really be your lead. and double team's banned, sorry. swords dance/baton pass, fine, agility aswell, and taunt to force a switch. give it a focus sash, so that it can survive one hit from whatever they switch to so you can use one more stat-upping move before passing.

hope i helped :)

Thanks, I changed most of what you said (I forgot about cross on electivire), but why would I need speed on a relaxed Snorlax? Also, Glaceon is currenly temporary, I've been looking into other Special sweepers, I just had a leftover poke from my in-game Hail team.

spD is special defence :)

well atm im using a dragonite with flamethrower, thunderbolt, draco meteor and superpower, and it's working really well :)

I'm actually trying to not use any psuedo-legendaries (else my Tyranitar would be the cornerstone of my team, but I don't have enough poke for sandstorm/stream), what about a Flygon?

EDIT:Actually, I finally decided on a Modest Alakazam with Psychic, Energy Ball, Charge Beam (for SpA up) and Focus Blast. I can't choose between Syncronize or Inner Focus, though.

give smeargle spore instead of taunt. that way you can set up easier, and taunt only gets smeargle killed anyway

use syncronize. that will punish the pokemon who try to parylize, poison or burn you >:)

Just natures right now. Electivire needs to be Adamant, Froslass Timid, and Blaziken Mild or Rash.

What about Encore on Smeargle instead of Taunt/Spore? That would stop most setting up Poke dead (watches ninjask get stuck on Substitute on Shoddy)

EDIT: I've been testing an Aerodactyl lead (Taunt, Stealth Rock, Ice Fang, Rock Slide@Focus Sash) and it's doing pretty well. Does anyone think I should replace Smeargle?
