1.) When playing videos, it will play them only in like 3 second increments, but the audio works fine. Occasionally (on Youtube) when I play the video the loading bar moves, but the video doesn't play. The slider remains stationary at the beggining of the bar and the video is just a black screen.

2.) It won't display (hardly) any pictures on wikias. I just get the red x, even if I've already viewed the image before or even if I have it saved.

3.) I recently downloaded a free trial version of Corel Paint Shop Pro. I think it was free because in my documents, when a picture is loading, it doesn't display the sailboat icon if it's a jpg, or the shapes icon if it's a bmp. It shows the Corel logo. :/

Additionally, when I select Image Properties, under type it never says "PNG file" or "GIF file" it says "Paint Shop Pro Photo X2 Image".

I uninstalled Corel and all its traces. I even deleted the icons then emptied them from the Recycle Bin. But the problem continues.

Interesting... this is some odd behavior... The first two seem as as though something is wrong with the internet or the browser...

As for the last one. Hmmm... Do they still open with Window Picture and Fax Viewer? Maybe you should try installing something like Window Live Photo Gallery. It could re-associate the file types with it thus fixing that Corel problem.

Open a folder, go into Tools>Folder Options...>File Types, and change the associations from there for that err. And the browser issues; what browser are you using? Try Firefox, Opera, Chrome, or Safari; in that order.

Sounds like your third problem is a file extension issue. What you need to do is go in and change the file association with those pictures.

Do this by
-Opening My Computer
-Go to Tools
->Folder Options
->Click the tab 'File Types'
->Reset the extensions you want to their appropriate call.
From this step you have the option to
"CHANGE" Which allows you to make a new association with the program you want, or
"NEW" which you can recreate the file extension (PNG, JPG, BMP, etc.) and associate it with the program you want and keep existing ones too.

(edit: seems immewnity beat me to it, but yeah same thing, try this)

For the first one with youtube, that one happens to me if I've kept my browser open way too long. Just reset your cookies or clear your cache, restart the computer if you must, that usually works for me.

As for the second one, either that's a problem with the site or maybe after fixing the third one you may resolve that one, but I'm not entirely sure.
