The way most people trade is through the Wi-Fi Club located on the 2nd floor of the Pokémon Center(the middle room with the red haired woman). It requires both trainers to have each other in their Pal Pad in order to trade(both of you need your Trainer Name and Friend Code). You can get your Friend Code by connecting to Nintendo WFC at least once. Be warned though, if you change the DS you're using, your Friend Code will change and you'll need to connect to Nintendo WFC again.

As for what I would like, if you happen to have both an extra Water Stone laying around and a Tirtouga as well. If not, I'll take anything. I'm not really picky.
