Okay so this is my new battle tower team, its not bad, I just usually end up making a mental mistake that gets me beat, but I'm looking for any improvements, yes I know it looks like a novelty team but it works nicely.
At a glance
Torterra @ Leftovers
Impish Overgrow
252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Wood Hammer
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Leech Seed
Torterra acts as a tank. It sets up leech seed and Stealth Rock, then has 2 nice stab attacks. The only problems I've encountered have been against grass and fliers which usually I'll end up switching out on. Should I drop SR or leech or a third attack?
Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive Blaze
252 Atk/192 Speed/64 Atk
Close Combat
Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Grass Knot
My mix sweeper. My big problem is trying to get him in to set up, I'm noticing he's quite frail. I usually only switch him in after one of my others is Ko'ed, and then only use Nasty Plot if I'm 100% sure I can get away with it. Is there anyway to make it safer to switch and NP? Close Combat is great for stab and hits strong against many types, flamethrower helps beat things that resist my other 2 pokes, I chose flamethrower because I don't like fire blast's accuracy. Grass Knot adds some extra coverage and takes out plenty of infernape counters and even more after an NP boost.
Empoleon @ Peteya Berry
Modest Torrent
12 HP/12 Def/252 SpAtk/232 Speed
Substitute
Agility
Surf
Ice Beam
I love my subpoleon. In 6v6 battles I've had it sweep whole teams. Basically, 1st turn, I use Agility to make it's speed respectable, then substitute until the berry kicks in, along with torrent. Then I start using +2 surfs on everything unless Ice Beam is super effective and surf isn't or if surf is NVE and Ice beam is neutral.
So anything to help this team is appreciated.
