Okay so this is my new battle tower team, its not bad, I just usually end up making a mental mistake that gets me beat, but I'm looking for any improvements, yes I know it looks like a novelty team but it works nicely.

Torterra @ Leftovers
Impish Overgrow
252 HP/252 Atk/6 Def
Wood Hammer
Earthquake
Stealth Rock
Leech Seed

Torterra acts as a tank. It sets up leech seed and Stealth Rock, then has 2 nice stab attacks. The only problems I've encountered have been against grass and fliers which usually I'll end up switching out on. Should I drop SR or leech or a third attack?

Infernape @ Life Orb
Naive Blaze
252 Atk/192 Speed/64 Atk
Close Combat
Nasty Plot
Flamethrower
Grass Knot

My mix sweeper. My big problem is trying to get him in to set up, I'm noticing he's quite frail. I usually only switch him in after one of my others is Ko'ed, and then only use Nasty Plot if I'm 100% sure I can get away with it. Is there anyway to make it safer to switch and NP? Close Combat is great for stab and hits strong against many types, flamethrower helps beat things that resist my other 2 pokes, I chose flamethrower because I don't like fire blast's accuracy. Grass Knot adds some extra coverage and takes out plenty of infernape counters and even more after an NP boost.

Empoleon @ Peteya Berry
Modest Torrent
12 HP/12 Def/252 SpAtk/232 Speed
Substitute
Agility
Surf
Ice Beam

I love my subpoleon. In 6v6 battles I've had it sweep whole teams. Basically, 1st turn, I use Agility to make it's speed respectable, then substitute until the berry kicks in, along with torrent. Then I start using +2 surfs on everything unless Ice Beam is super effective and surf isn't or if surf is NVE and Ice beam is neutral.

So anything to help this team is appreciated.

Use Stone Edge>>Stealth Rock, as in the Battle Tower there is barely any switching. The rest is fine I guess. =P Good luck with it.

If this works, tell us. Please. And I don't mean if it works for one or two sets. It only gets truly challenging after the second battle against Palmer.

like wolflare said, get rid of the stealth rock. And maybe you can replace substitue on empoleon for drill peck or flash cannon or something (I don't really see the point of using substitute in battle tower)

The strategy of SubPetaya Empoleon is to come in, Agility as the opponent switches (which it doesn't in BF >.>), and then Sub each time the opponent attacks until you are 25% of health. Then you have a +1 SpA, +2 Speed, Torrent activated, and maybe a Sub up. Without Sub the strategy is more fragile.

Probably means the 64 Atk / 252 SpA / 192 Spe seeing as that is the standard spread.

Er...no. That's not the spread they originally put up. The spread they originally put up was what was quoted: 252 Atk/192 Speed/64 Atk. RexRacer was making the comment that they put Atk EVs twice, so the logical conclusion was that they meant those 64 EVs to go into Sp. Atk

You probably misunderstood me, I meant the standard used EV spread (not his) is 64 Atk (to OHKO Blissey with CC) / 252 SpA / 192 Spe, which is the one Smogon. All his movesets, EVs, etc are exactly the same from Smogon, so I am thinking he meant 252 SpA / 192 Spe / 64 Atk. If he uses 252 Atk / 64 SpA / 192 Spe, then he should change it to what I had, as that Infernape is mainly a special sweeper, and only has CC to deal with Blissey, if Blissey and Snorlax wasn't used, then it would probably be a full special sweeper so it doesn't have to deal with special walls.
