My New Eeveelutions

I plan to, over the next month or two, create an Eeveelution for every type that has yet to recieve one. I'll do so first with sketches, then with custom sprites...

Here is what I have so far... Bolded names have Pictures and/or Bios


Dragon - Wyveon

Spoiler

Bio - Wyveon are known for their agility and speed, being able to run at supersonic speeds. It is said that their legs allow them to jump miles at a time, creating a misconception that they can fly.

Fighting - Bruteon (Name might be changed)

Bio - Everything on Bruteon, from its claws to its tail, are built for speed and strength. Bruteon is fast, powerful, and can attack before you have a chance to react. They are highly territorial, and will fight to the end to protect their trainer from harm.

Flying - Aereon

Poison - Veneon

Bio - Veneon’s bite is as bad as its bark. Its teeth and tail both contain a strong neurotoxin that, if not treated, can drop an enemy in under a minute. It is also said that its tail contains a second substance that can cure most poisons, which is why it is used in most store brand poison cures.

Ground - Dusteon

Ghost - Specteon

Bio - Specteons are the result of an Eevee who has sacrificed itself for its trainer. Specteons are mysterious and tend to keep out of sight. They are usually used as a symbol for pureness and have been rumored to help lost and injured trainers.

Steel - Casteon

I'll probably do them in a random order (I might start with Specteon) and I'll post the work as it is made. Any suggestions or tips?

Name suggestion:
For the Steel Type i've always liked the name Ferreon, since Ferrum is the latin name for Iron.

I had the most trouble with Steel, so I looked up synonyms for metal and found the word Casting, and it reminded me of things like Cast Iron and Cast Steel. Then I added "eon" and the name kind-of just clicked!

EDIT: Started work on Bruteon...

I made him more sleek than I had origianally planned. Originally I was going to have a bulky Eevee with claws and a spiked tail, but after I finished the head in this pic I realized that a more sleek pokemon that looks fast was really the way to go. I might change this one's name due to the fact that he really isn't that Brutish.

UPDATE
Here is the first doodle of Specteon!

I've also decided that I don't want this to be the usual colors for Ghost Pokemon (Purples and Blacks) but rather a color scheme of light blues and whites to show that it is a pure spirit.

I'm working on some rough sketches of Exeon and Casteon.
I should have Casteon on by tomarrow, and Exeon done by tge wend of the week!

they're good, but they seem a bit bland for eeveelutions. Maybe it's just the lack of color.

I sort of didn't want to take the type too seriously. If you look at most fan made eeveelutions they make the picture look so decked out that they usually don’t even look like eevee anymore. If you look at the real eeveelutions you’ll see that thier type only plays a small part in how they look. Jolteon doesn’t have any actual electricity on it, Glaceon barely even looks like an ice type, and Umbreon really doesn't look all that dark (instead it is rather cute).
That was what I was going for.

By the way, what pencil do you use for sketching?

A crappy old #2 pencil... I don't use anything fancy

Cool! but I think Wyveon would look cooler with some wings or something....

I concidered it, but thought that Aereon should be the only one with wings... I might add some.
