Hey, um, this is my first post here, and I just wanted to show off these custom trainers I've made.

That's my character, Rave. His hair took flippin' ages. He's supposed to look like he had neon coloured dreads, but it kinds went wrong, heh heh.

For a bit of fun I made Gerard Way from My Chemical Romance in his Black Parade outfit. He came out the best =D

So what do you guys think? =3
 
Wow, the detail on these guys are amazing, I especially like Kraig (not just because he has my name) as his stance and shading are phenomeonal. Seriously, I can't fault any of them.

Hee, thanks a lot! I just kinda recoloured them mostly, but for Rave and the girls I had to add on extra clothes. =3

And for a sec there I was like 'OMG you live near me!' even though Manchester is like, an hour's drive away from where I live =3
 
An hour's nothing mate, Blackpool's an hour away and I have family there, haha.
Could you do some more? I reckon you could go to town on some gym leaders.
 
Blackpool is like half an hour away from me. I think. I dunno. I'm useless with working out distances and times XD

Sure I could do more. Just need inspritation though, heh. I might make my own gym leaders from this story I'm planning, but they've got complex hair, which I damn myself for, heh heh. I'm also thinking of doing one of those request 'shop' things.
 
Go for it, the sky's the limit with that talent. And just for inspiration's sake, some of my favourite trainers.

Tell you what annoys me though. D/P trainer sprites are bigger than the rest, so its annoying when I find something usefull on one that I can't add to the toher >.<
 
Yeah, I know what you mean. If you want to make a trainer, you have to cut away bits from other D/P sprites.
 
Yeah, which is why I try and stick to using only D/P trainers. They look better on cards 'cause they're bigger, and they fit together. might try using the smaller ones though, to see what they look like.
 
Well, you can have a look at some I've made for comparison.

There isn't too much room for details, especially not as much as D/P, and they seem to lose their realism.

^ they are really hard to get right, 'cause they're so small.
I'm gonna try doing overworld sprites, which are even smaller than those.
I'm just gonna experiment with stuff really, and open my request shop thingy. It will give me something to do, heh.
 
Haha, true. Maybe you could do trainer cards? If you made that one in your signature yourself, you'll do well.
 
I was gonna do trainer cards with custom trainers. I'm just getting the thread started now, heh.
There's a lot to put on it, and damn there being only 6 images allowed in a post >_<
