This is going to be my Double Battle PBR team. Please help me. This is my first competitive Double Battle team.


Gliscor@Yache Berry
EV's(Unknown untill tommorow)lol forgot them.

EV's - 252Atk 252Speed 6HP (I know I only need 4. I like the satisfaction of getting the Effort Ribbon.)

I was thinking a Gallade or Curselax for the last one. Cannot think of a good reason though. It would be good from the Gliscor boost.

You should teach all of your Pokemon (with the exception of Gliscor) Protect.
It helps a lot in double battles.
Also, a good item for Gliscor would be yache berry.
 
Hmmm, what does a Yache Berry do? I am not farmiliar with berries. Only EV reducing berries. Thanks for the imput. I don't like Protect. I will try a battle with it and a battle without and see the differance.

Trust me. Protect really helps.
It helps you avoid the damage from Explosion and Fake out, helps stalling the opponent etc. There are so many cases.
Yache berry lowers the super effectiveness of ice-type moves.
 
I don't have a Yache Berry or I would. I will put that in a want thread. Just pile it ontop of my current wants.
Thanks. I will add Protect to at least 2 of them.
 
Gallade: Ditch Poison Jab and EQ. Then choose 2 out of 3 of these:
-Night Slash (to deal with Ghosts and Psychics)
-Ice Punch (to deal with Flyers and Dragons)
-Stone Edge (to deal with Flyers)
 
It already has Night Slash so...

I didn't want to keep those anyway. I am going to need to find someone to help me with Ice Punch. I can do it though.
 
Can someone help me with the stategy for this team? I cannot seem to get it right.

It looks to me like Gliscor is a Baton Passer, giving the rest of the team power boosts. The other Three are Physical Sweepers, taking out as many Pokemon as they can.

If you haven't already EV'd them like this, Train Gliscor Defensivly to give him a chance of Setting up Swords Dance and Rock polish. I'd say 252 HP, 126 Def and 127 SpDef. As for the rest of them, 252 Spe and 252 Atk (whith the exception of Metagross, instead of 252 Speed split into 127 Defense and Special defense). Try adding a Special Sweeper, Porygon-Z or Alakazam work well. Maybe Something like Lucario to protect Gliscor as a Physical Wall in Double battles.
 
The team looks good with Spiny's above modifications. If you want, I can test it out using my Doubles team (which needs testing too)

Spiny: I know. That is why its up here. I cannot think of anything. I have a good Porygon-Z. I might try and use that. I also might breed a good Riolu for this team.

Lazyboy: I would love to test this team on your team. PBR random Battles are getting annoying. Especially with the default teams.

yeah, they are annoying. But I get an unusally good feeling when my Ditto KOs a Latios. (my code = 5284-8889-1522)

Oh, don't I know it! I've battled so many Nates! It's sad to think that all these people with battle revoloution don't ctually have Diamond/Pearl/Platinum...
 
I know! Why would you buy PBR without DPPt? There is no point. The only reasons I have it is Surfing Pikachu and the better battle experience. The storyline sucks.
 
What storyline? anyway, this is just a suggestion, A good wall would benefit this team, and so you dont have to have protect on it, in my opinion, dusknoir would be a good option, i have no idea what to replace it with, so il leave it up to you, if you do want one that is

If you really want to use Snorlax, I would replace Salamence. This is since Gliscor sets up your Pokemon to start. An opponent may try to use an ice move on Gliscor to OHKO. If you Baton Pass to Salamence, that ice move may hit your Salamence instead. Ice+Salamence=not good.
