Search For Hit & Run Driver In Allegan County
March 6, 2008, 6:26 PM EST
DORR TOWNSHIP — Pam Souter was out on her morning run with her 2 dogs when a car hit them and kept going.
Tonight, Pam is recovering from a swollen left... but one of her dogs wasn't as fortunate.
About 5:30 a.m., Pam was jogging along 144th Street in Dorr Township when she heard a car approaching behind her.
Pam says she and her 2 dogs, Salvadore and 4-year-old german shepard Azura, were on the shoulder and moved over as much as they could. Pam says she was wearing reflective gear and had the dogs on a leash when the accident happened.
"Before I knew it the car came up and just sped right by us and slammed into my dog and sent us both flying into the ditch.", said Souter.
Pam says the car slowed downed briefly after the accident, but then just kept on going.
"It's such a feeling of abandonment just laying there in the ditch waiting for somebody to help.", said Souter.
Help did come, and luckily Pam is ok. Her 4-year-old german shepard wasn't as lucky, suffering 6 shattered bones in the accident.
Pam says she didn't get a good look at the car, but State Police is investigating.
Anyone with information in the case should contact the Wayland Michigan State Police Post, or Silent Observer at 1-800-554-7633.

I found out today that my friend and teacher, Pamela Souter, was hit by a car and knocked into a ditch. Just read the above article.
Wow... I'm so glad she's okay... what a f-ing a-hole that guy was. I hope he dies in a car accident. Seriously, he just drove away and left her sitting in the ditch!
I wondered why she wasn't at school yesterday...
