Since it's out, two questions for you folks:

Which Pokemon will you be?
What version?

I'm going with Turtwig, and I'll probably just get whatever version I can find since neither has any exclusives I'm dead-set on getting.
 
I'm getting both versions, and I'll be a Chimchar named Paul with a Munchlax parner named Reiji in Time, and (To celebrate movie 11) a Turtwig named Zero in Darkness, with a Skitty partner named Mugan.

Naming pokemon after human is charactors in MD is a long-held tradition of mine.
 
By the way, how exactly is the partner chosen this go-round?
 
Cyndaquil all the way! Quilava's my favorite, and I'm happy that it isn't male-exclusive this time around.

As for my partner, I'm not so sure. Maybe a Bulbasaur or Turtwig.
 
All I can say is, remember how awesome Bullet Seed was in the last game? I think it would be a good idea to have either you or your partner be a Grass-type.

Uhh, f***ed up piece of ***t. I reserved my copy of Time at a Target that doesn't release the game 'til the 23rd. I don't know whether to be sadly dissapointed or angrily pissed-off. :mad:

Chimchar FTW as my character with Turtwig as patner, no idea why though, since I'm usually not for the grass types. Can't think of a name for me, but my team name will be Fusion because I used it in PMD1 and I like that name.
 
I've got Explorers of Time.

I couldn't get the Pokemon I wanted from my survey, so I settled on Totodile (Me) and Turtwig (Partner). I'm guessing you only get Piplup if you're a girl.
 
I picked up my copy of Explorers of Time! I got Cyndaquil (named Rinslet) in a few tries (amazingly the description fit me to a T) and have a Bulbasaur partner named Ichiro.

I wonder what purpose the "aura" color has. :X At first I thought it was determined by DS menu colors since I often got silver, but on my final try I got purple.
 
I know. A couple times I got "vivid pink" which I didn't understand and another few times I got "smart marine blue."
 
Darkness, because when I asked the people at GameStop which one sounded cooler they both replied "DARKNESS!" XD

I'm not sure who I'll start as yet. I'm not touching the game until after finals D:

Time. I wanted to get a Riolu on my team :p
 
I'ma be whatever I get on my first try. Unless it's Bulbasaur, cause that's what I was in the first game.

And...I haven't looked at the differences between versions yet >_>

I got Darkness, and my starter is Mudkip named Ama (was tempted to name him Meme) while my partner is Chimchar named Chimpy (for the sake of corniness).
 
I got time version, and I'm a Piplup (named Lee) and a Torchic (named Blazer). Our team is Team Pochamo (Pochama+Achamo)
 
I reset the game about 15 times before I got a female Skitty, which I named after my girlfriend. Then I chose a male Mudkip for my partner, which I named after myself.

I'm playing Time for 3 reasons: I like time-related things, I like Dialga, and Time doesn't have a Bidoof in the boxart.
 
Started last night. Darkness version, of course (because of my incessant Gothiness)

After a few failed attempts at Meowth, I decided to really, TRUTHFULLY answer the questions like it said, and ended up with Piplup (the Lolita penguin!) I chose Chikorita as my partner, since it was my partner last game, and named it Belladonna.

Um, no. I got mine at Target.

I don't know what the deal was there. I thought it was coming out 4/22 as well (quoth the preorder card) and Circuit City, Best Buy, etc gave the same date (after everyone said it was the 20th). But the ad in yesterday's paper said "Now available" so we went to see, and lo and behold, MD2. I think NoA screwed up royally this time.

Also, I'm pleasantly surprised by the preorder goodie. I expected a dinky thing like the last "Explorer's Guide", but this one is very nice. Basically an artbook, and the Sugimori manga and interviews are pretty cool. Well done, PUSA.
