Mysterious Dungeon Special?!

From a post on Serebii, by Toge-oge the Togepi's , a relative average poster

I live in America and get a magazine I hate called Disney Adventures. It has a special issue of Pokemon fan and it said "We're airing a special episode of the Pokemon cartoon show that centers around all the themes of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games! That's right, coming this September, your favoprite Pokemon will speak for the first time ever! (Except for Meowth, of course!)". I have no idea if this will be a chronicle or an episode. I cannot post pictures at the momment. It will be airing on caartoon network.

A special would be cool...., but this guy may be lying. I may get the Pokemon Fan magazine in my Gamepro I should get soon, so maybe I can verify it...

Haha, I used to read Disney Adventures, but the new editor sucks ass. The entire book went downhill.

They ususally don't know what they're talking about when it comes to Pokémon, so I'd dismiss it.
 
No no no, it's in a Pokemon Fan magazine that came with the Disney mag, and last issue they had info about the Mastermind of Mirage Pokemon, and that happened.

But, that magazine doesn't specify if this will be a american-first broadcast though, someone should check Pokeani for info on something like this.

EDIT: The guy who posted said he will try to get a magazine scan, I'll post them here when he does.
 
I know of nothing on the Japanese sites, but Babelfish is icky anyway. Just a lot of stuff having to do with the 9th movie.

Even so, I think Bulbanews, PPN, #PM, or SPP would've found out before some kid writing to a magazine.....

Whatever. I'll just keep my eyes and ears open.

I'm halfway hoping this is a lie because I don't want any more America-before-Japan specials, and halfway hoping it's true because a talking-Pokémon special would be totally awesome. *_*
 
"Themes of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon" would fit to pretty well to the Pichu Brothers episodes of Chronicles, so it would be most likely that unless it's a pile of steaming bullshit this is some stupid hack writing about something they know nothing about and getting confused.
 
It could be a dub of the first ANA Pokemon short. The one where the narrator supplies the voices for all the pokemon.
 
Yeah, that's what I was thinking.

But would PUSa sink that low as to market a 3 year old anime with Ash's Pokemon as a Mysterious Dungeon Special?
 
Maybe now that PUSA is in control of the anime, they're demanding more U.S. specials ala Mastermind.

It wouldn't surprise me actually, because they'll probably want a special to promote the Mysterious Dungeon games when they come out in the U.S.

Man, I hope PUSA doesn't start demanding *too* much from the writers...sheesh.

EDIT: Wasn't there a rumour that the special featured a Pikachu and Eevee as the main characters?

And hell, seems like they could use Ash/May's Pokemon then.
 
I'm thinking this was a special made in Japan and PUSA wants to release it in concert with Mysterious Dungeon. It would make sense. Maybe the specials are coming back.

... such irony. When we relayed Pokeani's hoax report of a Mysterious Dungeon anime, it was immediately denounced as unlikely. And now... the real thing?
 
Interesting info, but I can't get the striking image of Pokemon's take on Digimon out of my head now...

While this is all still theoretical, and the show formula is extremely different, I can
already see sleeper cell Digimon Fans uprising against this blatant similarity
of pokemon talking.

Still, I wonder if show will follow something along the lines of that Advanced
episode featuring the Pichu Bros. theater since its the only episode I
remember that featured pokemon talking outside their usual grunts and growls.

I can BARELY see those scans..... let's just sit and wait now~

i have the magazine! i am looking at the pokemon fan thing right now! i will try to get it on the computer soon, but i don't have a scanner
