The RP has begun! In the "Start-up Threads" Section, called "PMD: Explorers of Legend" with the prefix "Everyone." You can join if you've been accepted.

In the world of pokemon, there is a place where no humans have ever found, thanks to its legendary pokemon guardians. However, recently, trainers have found a way into the once-safe place and put all the pokemon in the place in danger. What happened to the legendary pokemon? Help unravel the mystery during this adventure.

Evolving is allowed, even for used-to-be-human pokemon. They don't have to be at the exact level of the typical evolution, in fact you don't even have to record levels if you don't want to, but should at least be somewhat close if they are under the level of evolution. You are not required to evolve.

Rules:
1. No God-Modding - Cooperate, please!
2. You can add pokemon to your team as you go, but don't overflow your team. It gets confusing.
3. No copying team or pokemon names, although it's fine to have the same species of pokemon on more than one team.
4. Don't have your team level 100 right away. It drains excitement if you win all the battles too easily.
5. No horrible violence and gore. There can be some violence, but don't get too descriptive. Some people are very disturbed by such things.
6. Stay appropriate.
7. You can have up to 3 teams.
8. Moves learned by any method, including TM/HM moves, are allowed. Pokemon must only use moves that are actually able to be learned by them.

Zorua
Name: Midnight
Gender: Female
Nature: Brave
Characteristic: Likes to fight

Nature: Rash
Characteristic: Likes to fight
Level: 25
Scarf/Bow: Yellow Bow

Level: 29
Scarf/Bow: Silver Bow
Description: A very proud pokemon, Abby never ignores a chance to show off her skills.

How they became a team: Abby and Thunder were already good friends, and they both wanted to help others (Abby wanted to be famous, too.) They found Midnight freaking out during one of their missions and, once she had calmed down, she joined their team.

Former Human: Zorua

They became a team by all hanging around the registry area every day and meeting each other until they finally decided to team up.

Team Name: Team Shinobi

Pokemon on Team:

Riolu
Name: Ronin
Gender: Male
Nature: Bold/Brave
Characteristic: Somewhat of a Clown
Level: 28
Scarf/Bow: Black scarf
Description: Ronin is reckless and kind of an idiot. He runs into dungeons without planning or thought, but the reason why he's the team's leader is because of his bravery.

Kirlia
Name: Kunoichi
Gender: Female
Nature: Jolly
Characteristic: Often lost in thought
Level: 24
Scarf/Bow: Black Scarf
Description: Kunoichi is shy and sweet, but once you provoke her, she'll scare the living heck out of you. She often has visions of the future, due to being a psychic type. She'll most likely faint after having a vision.

Sneasel
Name:Kagemaru
Gender: Male
Nature: Quiet
Characteristic: Thoroughly cunning
Level: 26
Scarf/Bow: Black Scarf
Description: Kagemaru is silent and mature, unlike the rest of his teammates. He makes the smartest moves and tactics. His flaw however, is that Kagemaru doesn't work with others very well.

How did you become a team?: The three of them were part of a clan of Shinobi, and were trained like ninjas. They were raised and trained together, but never really knew that they would be in a team. One day, Ronin decides to go off on his own in a dungeon, trying to prove that he was the strongest in his class. Worried, Kunoichi and Kagemaru follow him. Following the Riolu through the dungeon, the two were attacked and Kagemaru got injured severely. Ronin put himself in front of the Kirlia and Sneasel in order to protect them from any further harm, and he too, was injured, but was able to fend off the feral pokemon. Carrying two seriously injured pokemon, Kunoichi was able to escape the dungeon and get them to a healer. When both of them were healed, Ronin was scolded by his teacher, but Kagemaru and Kunoichi defended him. About one or two years later, they had mastered their training and were fully shinobi. They decided to become a team and represent their clan.

Was anyone on the team formerly human? If so, who?: None

Other: Being ninjas, they have different abilities than what their races usually have. For example, they would be able to walk on walls, be extremely agile, make clones of themselves, basically anything the people in Naruto can do.

Yeah, if you're still doing this, I'm interested. Got a team all ready, too. An all-ghost team at that!

Team Spectre

Featuring;
Freya the Froslass, Level 30

Freya is the leader of Team Spectre, being the only one that was once a human (it should be noted though that this is because she died and came back as a Ghost, in this case a Froslass.), the most reserved and least rash of the group (although not difficult considering the rest of Team Spectre) and the most powerful overall sitting at level thirty. She is incredibly protective over the other three members of the group and can't bear to see them come to harm.

Missi the Mismagius, Level 27

Missi is rash and quick to act, even by Team Spectre standards, one of her first priorities being 'hurt the other guys' and the last being 'my personal safety'. Whilst she will go along with the team's technique of 'haunting' enemies they find, she is also often one of the first to directly attack them.

Harry the Haunter, Level 25

Haunter is the biggest fan of 'haunting' amongst the group, the team's signature technique of using their status as ghosts to unnerve or even sometimes outright scare enemies by disappearing through walls and doing the generally unexplainable before they attack. The youngest and least powerful of the group, Harry generally defers to Freya in most things that are more complex than 'hit that guy'.

ø GOL-622 the Golett, Level 28

GOL-622 believes firmly that it is a human creation and it was built to serve humans. As such, it almost reveres Freya. It is almost as fast as Missi to get frustrated and start hitting enemies, if only because having legs and not floating like the rest of the team can cause haunting to be difficult for it. Despite technically having no gender, it is referred to by the rest of Team Spectre with male pronouns, and each member has their own nickname for it to avoid calling it GOL-622.

How did they meet? They became fast friends after learning they were all haunting the same old house and had been for near on a month by the time any of them actually saw each other.

Humans? As mentioned, Freya is the ghost of a dead mountaineer, but none in the PMD sense transformation.

Team name: Team Eclipse

Pokemon:
Name: Haru
Species: Mightyena
Level: 22
Gender: Male
Nature: calm
Characteristic: thoroughly cunning
Bow/scarf: black scarf
Appearance: Haru is undersized for a Mightyena. He is very scrawny and thin, though it's difficult to tell due to his thick black and grey pelt. His fur is very relentless, remaining messy and ruffled after even the most dedicated grooming. His eyes are cold, icy blue. He has a long, noticeable scar across the ridge of his muzzle.
Personality: Haru is more the solitary type. He doesn't really care about other Pokemon except his teammates. He's cold and hostile. When he's alone, he sometimes has two sided conversations with himself. He is basically the leader of Team Eclipse. He's very cunning and stratigetic in battles. Haru, despite his rather cold attitude, is very loyal to his friends and teammates, willing to put his life on the line for them if neccisary.

Name: Ranmaru
Species: Growlithe
Level: 22
Gender: Male
Nature: brave
Characteristic: proud of his power
Bow/scarf: red bow
Appearance: Ranmaru is brightly, fiery red/orange with jet black stripes and cream-colored muzzle, chest, belly-fur, and tail. His ears and muzzle aren't rounded, but sharp. His eyes are yellow. His tail is thick and cream colored. His fur is always sleek and well kept.
Personality: Ranmaru is outgoing, impulsive, and very loyal. He has the greatest physical strength of the members of Team Eclipse. He relies on offensive moves to win his battles. Ranmarus always optimistic even in the darkest of situations, which can usually give the rest of his teammates the courage or strength to keep moving forward. His goal is to be the most powerful Pokemon he can.

Name: Shizune
Species: Vulpix
Level: 21
Gender: female
Nature: quiet
Characteristic: often lost in thought
Bow/Scarf: Red scarf
Alppearance: Shizune has very dark red, almost violet, fur and pale red paws, chest, and ears. A lock of fur covers her right eye. She has leafy green eyes and cat-like pupils. Her eyes are sharp and angled, like a cat's. She has tufts of guenon the end of her ears. She is considered by many Pokemon beautiful.
Personality: Shizune is very knowledgable and wise. She isnt the fighting type, as she trained to be a prophet for a long time, though she will if she must. She isn't very the very cheery or happy type, usually keeping to herself. She's exceptionally loyal to her teammates, but will deprecate herself from them if she knows their decisions are stupid, unthought, or unreasonable.

How they became a team: Haru was born in the Tribe of Eternal Darkness, a pack of Poochyena and Mightyena. He was trained as a warrior, who defends the Tribe and is trained in the art of combat. When one of the trackers caught an unfamiliar scent on the Tribe's territory and brought the two intruders to the heart of territory where the pack slept, Haru suggested taking them in for training, saying they could always use an extra hand. The two Pokemon, Ranmaru and Shizune, prove to be exceptionally useful, just as Haru had expected. Ranmaru was trained to be a warrior like Haru and Shizune, who was a quite mysterious figure, was trained to be a prophet for the Tribe. After a long while of training, the three departed to represent the Tribe as an exploration team. There team name is based off of the solar eclipse that occurred the day they officially became team.

Former human: Shizune, though nobody, even her teammates, know.

If you want the mentions, place a semicolon after the @(name)

Team Name: Team Valiant

Pokemon on Team (include names (if applicable), levels, genders, natures, etc.):
Name: Hailee (Heracross)
Gender: Female
Level: 21
Personality: Hailee is an optimistic person who often tries to paint situations in a positive light. However, when she feels like someone is being treated unjustly, she is quick to stand up for them. In such a situation her temper will usually flare out of control; Zaire is usually the one that will calm her down. Even though her teammates are accepting of her and believe in her abilities, she feels a lot of pressure to be a a strong leader.
Nature: Jolly
Characteristic: Quick Tempered

Name: Zaire (Natu; pronounced Z-eye-air, in case you are wondering.)
Gender: Male
Level: 20
Personality: Zaire is ab intelligent young Natu who will often choose to outsmart his foes rather then simply overpowering them. He is calm and calculated, but to those from the outside he may look cold and uncaring. It is quite the opposite; like Hailee, he believes in fair treatment and will fight against unfair treatment. He is, however, much less likely to let his emotions get the best of him. He has been good friends with Mort for quite a long time.
Nature: Mild
Characteristic: Thoroughly Cunning
Name: Mortimer (Numel; sometimes simply called 'Mort')
Gender: Male
Level: 19
Personality: Mortimer is considered rather slow, both physically and mentally. He doesn't claim to be the most intelligent person, but he is very kind and will help anyone he can, even strangers. Mort is very relaxed; it isn't often that Mortimer will loose his temper. But in the rare occasion where he does get angry, you should watch out. He will literally, and figuratively, erupt. Mort has known Zaire for a long time.
Nature: Relaxed
Characteristic: Likes to Relax

How did you become a team?: The team started with Zaire and Mortimer. They've always been good friends, and they were rarely seen apart, though as of yet they haven't disclosed their personal history. The two of them stumbled on an unconscious Heracross. The two of them worked to revive the obviously young pokemon, and when she awoke, she seemed shocked and surprised. The pokemon, who introduced herself as Hailee, claimed she was a human. Zaire didn't think it was possible for a human to become a pokemon; he was skeptical, but Mortimer and Zaire agreed to help the confused pokemon anyways.

As Mort and Zaire showed Hailee around, they spotted a disturbance. A Sneasel was pushing a small group of shroomish around. Much to Mort's and Zaire's surprise, Hailee came to the shroomish's aid and confronted the pokemon. The Sneasel decided it wasn't worth the trouble and left. Hailee turned to her newfound friends and asked if there were any other mean pokemon in the world. Mort and Zaire were surprised by the Heracross's sincerity; they answered yes. Hailee proposed that they start up a team of pokemon who stood up for those who couldn't stand up for themselves. They formed the group that day, even though Zaire isn't sure if Hailee knows what she is getting herself into.

Was anyone on the team formerly human? If so, who?: Hailee

Wait, nevermind! I'm sorry! I'm so blind.

Team Name:Team LeafShine
Pokemon on Team (include names (if applicable), levels, genders, natures, etc.):
Maria Bugg (Leavanny, Team Leader, second type is grass, often referred to as Maria.)
Gender: Female
Characteristic: Strong willed
Nature: Calm

Vine (Servine)
Gender: Male
Nature: Brave
Characteristic: Likes to fight
Level: 25
Personality: Formerly belonging to a trainer to be named later, Vine has been through thick and thin to find a way to another grass-type, and he found her: Maria, the Leavanny, starting to stitch together a team like no other. Unlike most of the Pokemon on this team, Vine is often finding new escape routes, hiding places, and even unclaimed berry bushes, as well as often getting into trouble. But like all of the other members, he is often calm and does all he can to help.
Lily (Lilligant, evolved prior to this sign-up)***
Gender: Female
Nature: Jolly
Characteristic: Often dozes off
Level: 25
Personality: Lily was for the safety of grass-types, before she joined forces with Maria and Vine. Often sleeping, which causes Maria to yell at her, waking her up. Unfortunately, she manages to help out a lot, given she ate a Leppa Berry after waking up, much to her hatred. She also often picks on Mark, the other newest member, for being short.
Mark (Whimsicott)*****
Gender: Male
Nature: Modest
Characteristic: Highly curious
Level: 25**
Personality: One day, he was in an argument over a small pile of berries he gathered, and the person he was arguing with was none other than Maria! She had him join forces with the rest of the team, and since then, he has wondered what he could do to help the team, as well as worry he would evolve, so he tried to avoid Lily, but it always failed.|
Bella(Bayleef)* ****
Nature: Careful
Characteristic: Somewhat stubborn
Level: 27**
Personality: Clumsy, silly, and a bit crazy, Bella rarely does much.
How did you become a team?: All of the team (Mark and Bella excluded) was at Pinwheel City (Forest to humans) when Team FireBlaze (antagonists to LeafShine) burned down Lily's home.
Was anyone on the team formerly human? If so, who?:
Mark and Lily

** Means this character will level up.
*** Means this character leaves the team after a certain point.
**** Means the pokemon joins the team mid-RP.
*****Means this character is going to quit soon.

Thanks! Also, there'll be a temporary leave for a character I added, I hope you'll be alright with it. Also I like your avatar! ^_^ Zorua is so cute!

Can you reserve me a place while I think up a team please?

@Gengarzilla; Certainly. Join when you're ready, the sign ups are always open!
@Leavanny; (About the character leave thing) Yes, that's completely fine. You can do anything in this RP that doesn't violate the rules!

Thanks, so yeah, I plan on making a move towards Sinnoh soon, to add more of a storyline.

Well, I'm not really sure how regions work in PMD (or even what region we're all in now) but that seems like it would be interesting!
