Okay, I decided to make this thread because I believe Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Explorers of the Sky is the most shipping-rich Pokemon game I've ever played, and I wanted to discuss some of those shippings. To start with the obvious:

Hero X Partner: I like this pairing because while the partner is the driving force behind most of the hero's actions, (s)he's really quite submissive to the hero's wants, even trusting Grovyle because the hero says they have no choice.

Guildshipping (Wigglytuff X Chatot): Not one of my favorite shippings in this game, but the scene at Brine Cave makes it obvious that at least Chatot has those feelings for the Guildmaster. Chatot's last words before succumbing to his injuries almost brought me to tears when I said them in my best Chatot voice.

OhMyGoshshipping (Sunflora x Loudred): My absolute favorite pairing in the game, thanks to Special Episode 3. They fight like an old married couple, and Loudred can't seem to stay mad at her for long, since he abandoned his post to help her capture Haunter. And Sunflora couldn't even say "Thank you" to him, showing how she really feels about Loudred.

Partner x Grovyle: I'm actually pretty fond of this ship. It's the basic "girl (or boy) hates antihero at first, but comes to trust him" scenario. But what really cememts this pairing in my mind is the partner's declaration that they'll stop Grovyle if he's wrong about the Time Gears.

Hero x Grovyle: Technically a human/Pokemon ship, but when you're working with someone to save the world, you have to appreciate every moment you have together, even if it's strictly platonic.

Wigglytuff x Lopunny: I would have to say that this ship is mostly one-sided, since all Wigglytuff cares about whenever he and Team Charm meet is the Perfect Apple they bring him. Still, we don't know the whole story behind Wigglytuff and Team Charm, so there's room for interpretation.

Rendshipping (Grovyle x Celebi): When you talk to Celebi before entering Deep Dusk Forest, she says she wants Grovyle to slow down and spend some time with her, then denies having any feelings for him, which convinces no one. Not to mention the end of Special Episode 5.

Zangoose x Sunflora: I know what you're thinking, but if you talk to Zangoose before leaving for Spring Cave in Special Episode 3, Zangoose mentions how he wants to fight Sunflora one day. Now that may not seem like much to go on, but it's enough to make me at least a casual shipper.

Lopunny x Weavile: Pure rivalry is the name of this game. Lopunny hates Weavile, Weavile hates Lopunny. Simple, right? Yeah, right! But in all seriousness, I think Lopunny makes Weavile feel insecure about herself, and she doesn't like that, so she declares Team Charm her enemies to hide her true feelings.

If I'm missing any ships, feel free to point them out.

Oh man, PMD. Thanks for making this thread!

What about ActaeonShipping, Dusknoir x Grovyle? I ship that, since the Foe Yay is wonderful. I like ships where opposites attract or there's a lot of banter between enemies that could disguise subtext.

I know a LOT of people prefer RendShipping, which is Grovyle x Shiny!Celebi, but personally, I didn't see much in that besides an unrequited crush. Celebi is pretty obviously into Grovyle, but he seems so hasty and preoccupied that he either just doesn't have time for her, or he doesn't even notice.

Out of all shippings, my all time favourite will always be Rendshipping. Hell, I didn't even play the Mystery Dungeon games.

I like:

HeroineX Male Partner/HeroXFemale partner

HeroineXGrovyle (1-sided from Grovyle)

LoudredXChimecho

BidoofXSunflora

I just see the last 2 working out better that LoudredXSunflora. (Plus, I think they're cuter)

I like the heroine x Grovyle shipping...For shame though that the pokemon didn't have a function that allowed her to jump on Grovyle and give him a long kiss on the lips before departing lol!!

I remember reading a Froslass X Scizor fic a long time ago, but I can't find it on FF.Net. Anyone who remembers it, what's it called?

I don't know of the fic, but if it helps, the pairing is DecadeShipping.

I played as a male Chikorita (I restarted after getting the male Skitty:dead:), and my partner is a female Torchic.
It's kind of funny: I first chose her because I knew she could learn Mirror Move, but as time went on I realized what an adorable pair me and my partner made. Seeing all of the Shippy conversations throughout the game made me a big fan.
I've been trying to draw some decent fanart for my ship, and I'll post the pics as soon as I am able to make drawings that do the couple justice!

My favourite are so far Grovyle x Celebi (It is at the very least an obvious one-side crush) and Partner (In my case, Male Meowth) X Hero (who happens to be a Female Treecko).

Oh gosh, we need junpearl62 here.

Cutest PMD fanart ever.

Anyway, I support all those ships...-___-; Because I'm bipolar that way.

What a coincidence I remember playing as a Chikorita and Torchic being my partner in the first game lol

one time I got a pikachu (feamale) to be me and a riolu (male) and they were one of the cutest pairs I ever got one my game with all the shippy stuff they say and go through they are a perfect pair

I find if you're a male hero with a female partner, there are more ships, because your partner does most of the talking, and the yaoi haters don't lynch you.

Oh really? But what if you are a heroine and your partner is a male pokemon?

Well, you didn't think the hints would go away just because they were the same gender, did you?
