I have a few questions for Pokemon Mystery dungeon.

1) What happens if you die and you don't send an SOS?

and 2) How many times can you battle legendaries?
feel free to post any tips and hints for me.
 
1. If you don't send an S.O.S, you get returned to your team base. Some or all of your items are lost, all your money is lost, and you lose the items your pokemon are holding.

2. You can battle legendaries as many times as it takes to recruit them. However, most legendaries will only join your team after you complete the "final" boss.

Are you sure? I've battled Kyogre numerous times and still no join. What am I doing wrong? Oh yeah, Location of Latios, Latias, Mewto, Deoxys, the
HM Fly, the way to get Dive back (I lost mine in the Ruin Dungeon).
 
Kyogre has a body size of four so you can only bring two Pokémon to the battle. The leader also has to make the final hit.

Make sure you have the friend areas for some of the legendary Pokémon. (You don't need it for Kyogre but you do for Mewtwo and Liati@s.)

Dive is found on Floor 10 of Solar Cave.
 
And Fly, I believe, is somewhere in Wyvern Hill - probably level 30.
 
In other terms of MD, what do you do if you lose in a dungeon, the ruins, and lose dive? How can I get it back?
 
I really hated how after you beat Rayquaza, your partner acts like everyone else on your team, like he or she isn't really your friend anymore. After that, I just stopped playing altogether and lent the game to my friend. What a let-down...
 
It's a shame but the plot had to be sacrificed for the gameplay additions after the credits.
