Because inanimate objects and animals got a thread!

I sort of want a Pokemon based on a vila/rusalka, that'd be a Water/Ghost or Water/Dark type.

A Medusa pokemon would be nice. Probably Dark/Psychic. I also want a Dark/Fire Cerberus too. Not a Houndoom evo, a 2-headed Cerberus pup into a 3-headed adult Cerberus. :]

A Chimera perhaps?
I think it would be kinda interesting to see how they would design it.
Greek mythology has plenty of creatures for GF to use for inspiration.

I want an Anubis one, like my avatar. A dark/fighting or dark/psychic maybe.

Basilisk-a deadly cobination of a serpent, lizard and rooster. Serperior was on the trail with freezing glare.

I'd like to see a Cerberus. Houndoom seems to be based a little on it, but I want one with three head. That would be awesome. Is there one based on the Sphinx? That would be great too.

Tarasks seriously need more credit in works of fiction. I would love a Steel-type Tarask.
Oh, and a Manticore too. Possibly Poison/Flying or Poison/Dark. That reminds me of the Poison type never making to the legendaries family.

Ekans and Arbok have some elements of this, with Glare being their signature move.

*deep breath*

Mermaids, centaurs, griffins, manticores, sirens, animoi, cockatrices, pegasi (at least I think we don't have those already), kelpies, etc.

And yet with all these ideas, Gamefreak still tends to reuse ideas repetitively, such as turtles, generic fish, cats, and dragons.

Most of the time Gamefreak only uses animals that little kids could recognize, and every once in a while they throw one out to us big boys/girls. Also, a lot of the pokemon are based off of Japanese Legends and such.

I WANT A UNICORN POKEMON NOW NOW NOWWWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Just kidding, but you would think they would have a unicorn by now....

We do.. it's called Rapidash...

Keldeo is, by definition, a kelpie with unicorn elements.

Although a pegasus would be cool.

I was just thinking about a sphinx based pokemon the other day! I'd love to see that happen. I'd imagine it'd be ground type. I could also see GF incorporating some elements of either psychic, ghost, or dark in it too. & I imagine it to have the sand stream ability

How about a leprechaun? They're the icons of Ireland that it would be an interesting addition to the Pokemon World. They can be alternate money factories, because they are usually tied with the prospect of finding a pot of gold. Also, due to their relation with four-leafed clovers, they can also be related to luck as well.

Also, the merlion. This mythical creature is most well-known in Singapore, who is basically a lion with a fish's tail. With a Pokemon like this, Singaporeans will be proud. (of note: "Singa" is lion in Malay).

Thanks for reading.

I kinda want to see a Manticore Pokemon, but that might be a bit too heavy for little kids. A Sphinx could work, if they got rid of its habit of killing people. A Ground/Flying typing would be cool, as in reality it's made out of sand but in mythology it had wings.

I'd like to see a proper Serpent Pokemon, one with big fangs and an evil look. Maybe an evolution of Seviper... or in fact Seviper :p
