In the absence of a prefectural Ambassador Pokémon, which would usually act as a mascot, these six new lids will feature a variety of Pokémon enjoying landmarks and nature around Nagano. For example, the lid to be installed in Yamanouchi Town pictures Mankey, Panpour, and Galarian Darumaka enjoying hot springs at the Shiga Kogen resort. The lid to be installed in Okaya City features Frosmoth and Snom on the banks of Lake Suwa in the winter.
Pikachu attended the unveiling ceremony for the new lids in Nagano Prefecture today, wearing a celebratory Pokémon Local Acts medal. These lids will be installed throughout the rest of the summer, and when installed, there will only be five prefectures left of the 47 in Japan without Poké Lids. There are currently over 450 lids installed throughout the country.
