Natu and Xatu will be sleepwalking its way onto player's devices late this month, as they make their Pokémon Sleep debuts in the Buncha Berries Week Part 1 event. This event is scheduled to begin on Monday September 29th at 4:00am local time, running through until Monday October 6th at 3:59am local time.

The Buncha Berries Week Part 1 event will allow Researchers to participate and gain bonuses regardless of where they conduct their sleep research, with the following bonuses active throughout the event period:
  • Each time a Berries specialty helper Pokémon brings berries, they will one extra berry.
  • The effect of the Main Skills Berry Burst and Disguise (Berry Burst) will be boosted by ×1.4
  • Researchers will have access to the limited-time Mini Candy Boost Function
    • This event-limited function will give Pokémon 2× the effect from candies, at a cost of using 4× times the amount of Dream Shards per candy.
    • Mini Candy Boost can be used with up to 50 candies per day.
  • Researchers can encounter a few Pokémon of different sleep types regardless of their own sleep type for the day.

Natu and Xatu will make their Pokémon Sleep debut alongside the start of this event, from Monday September 29th at 3:00pm (UTC). Players who are in the middle of Sleep Research at the time it debuts should have a chance of seeing them when they complete their sleep.

As with other Psychic-type Pokémon, Natu and Xatu collect Mago Berries. Mawile has the Snoozing sleep type, which corresponds to rapid eye movement sleep (REM sleep) or Stages 1-2 of non-rapid eye movement sleep (NREM sleep). Natu and Xatu will appear at Greengrass Isle (Regular and Expert), and Lapis Lakeside. It's main skill is Hyper Cutter (Ingredient Draw S). As of writing, no information has been formally posted regarding their specialty, ingredients or main skills, though given the event bonuses it's likely they will be a Berries Pokémon with Berry Burst.

Natu Incense items will also be able to be used from the instant this Pokémon goes live. As with previous Pokémon debuts, it's likely that Natu Incense will become available in special bundles available for purchase in-game from shortly before the event.
