Should Gen V have Nature stones? stones that have the same effect as a nature? Ie. Careful stone Raises SP Def and Lowers Sp Atk.

If these stones were introduced do you think they would see use competitively, and would they bother to make the neutral stones?
Hardy Stone
Docile Stone
Serious Stone
Bashful Stone
Quirky Stone

Or a single stone called the "Nature Stone", which magnifies the effects of the user's nature by 20% instead of the usual 10%. That itself is a great idea rather than a whole bunch of separate stones.

All we have to work on is a good name.

I'm not sure how that would work. Natures build up stats over time.

Oh, I don't know much about natures. =D

But there's some 10% increase in one stat and a equal decrease in another every time you level up, right? So instead, holding it while a Pokemon levels up BOOSTS the change to 20%.

The idea sounds good, but it sounds pretty difficult to implement that. maybe if they permanently changed the nature or something, it would be good.

Could be implemented as a held item, that way it cannot be stacked with other held items.

Here's my example, My level 100 Dragonite
Nature- Gentle
HP- 330
Attack- 333
Defense- 216
Sp. Attack- 227
Sp. Defense- 253
Speed- 209

When holding a stone to double the effect of the Gentle Nature, his stats would look like this.
HP- 330
Attack- 333
Defense=> 192
Sp. Attack- 227
Sp. Defense=> 276
Speed- 209

By the way, I have gone with Link of Hyrules Idea of just a single stone to boost whatever nature you already have.

My two cents on the stones name, "Esteem Stone"

I like this idea, though I'd prefer it if they had one stone only instead of lots of different ones.
They could call it the Dynamic Stone (since natures are a type of Dynamic Value). Esteem stone is also a good name.

I think it'd be good if some pokémon had level-up evolutions relating to this stone too.
