A brand new holiday contest for 2025! In this contest, we're giving you a deceptively simple challenge. Guess the most and least visited Pokémon articles on Bulbapedia over the entire course of 2025!

Specifically, you'll need to answer the following set of questions:
  • In order, what do you believe will be the six most popular Pokémon species pages on Bulbapedia for all of 2025?
  • In order, what do you believe will be the six least popular Pokémon species pages on Bulbapedia for all of 2025?
Given the year isn’t over yet, we don’t know the rankings ourselves, but you can make a more informed guess by checking out the page rankings over the past 11 months below!

In addition to the two main questions, we also have an additional tiebreaker question:
  • In order, what do you believe will be the six most popular pages on Bulbapedia for all of 2025, excluding individual Pokémon species pages and the Bulbapedia main page?
This tiebreaker question is optional, so you'll be able to submit your entry even if you've not put anything down.

Scoring and Prizes
A total of 10 winners will each receive a Pokémon Center Gift Card to the value of $70 USD / $99 CAD / £60 GBP (for winners in the United States, Canada, or United Kingdom), or an equivalent value in readily available Pokémon merchandise (for winners in other countries).

Prizes this year will be distributed to those who score highest based on the first two questions only. For these questions, we want the right Pokémon in as close to the right spot as possible. You'll be scored on the following basis:
  • Correctly guess a Pokémon in the top/bottom 6: 1 point per Pokémon
  • Correctly guess the exact position of a Pokémon in the top/bottom 6: 1 additional point per Pokémon
This means there is a maximum score of 24 for perfectly guessing the Top and Bottom 6.

In the event tiebreaks are required, the tiebreaker question will be scored as follows:
  • Correctly identify a Bulbapedia article in the Top 6, in its exact position: 1 point per article
For clarity, tiebreaks will only be used to separate people based on their score on the first two questions. For example, if nine people achieve a perfect score of 24, all nine would win prizes. There would then be a tiebreak amongst contestants tied at the next highest score for the one remaining prize.

In the event that there is still a tie left following the tiebreaker question, the remaining prizes will be randomly distributed among those who had the highest scores in that tiebreaker.

How to Enter
When you're ready to make your guesses, you'll need to enter them on this submissions form. Once you submit your answer, you won't be able to edit it, so make sure that you're sure of your answer before submitting!

All entries must be received prior to 11:59pm (PST), Wednesday December 31st, 2025.

For general FAQs applicable to all of our Bulbagarden Holiday Contests, please see the main post in the announcement thread here.

* I'm confused. Do you want the top/bottom six for just December, or do you mean the overall top/bottom six for the entire year?
For the entire year.

* I think I spelled a Pokémon's name incorrectly in my entry! Does that mean I can't win?
While accuracy in spelling is important for the contest, we will be manually checking entries, and using our discretion where typos may appear. So don't worry, we won't be too harsh if you forget that there's two Ls in Tranquill!

* I think someone's cheating! They're encouraging people on social media to visit a Pokémon's page so they hit the top 6 / rise out of the bottom 6
We're looking for the rankings of Pokémon for the whole year, not just for December. While it's possible that a widespread influence campaign could potentially change the figures, this would need to be extremely widespread for it to make a significant dent in the overall annual figures. From our experience, where past attempts have barely managed to raise a Pokémon up out of the bottom 6 for a single month, it's unlikely that these will make much of a difference.

Having said that, if by chance they did.... this is completely fair game. Nobody's going to be able to run that big of a campaign without anyone noticing, so you'll at least have plenty of warning if someone is really trying something like this.

* Will you be revealing the correct answers after the competition?
Yes, we will. As usual, our team will post up the summary infographics in early January.

Here's copies of the publicly posted information on Bulbapedia's rankings from the past year, to give you a bit of a guide for some of the articles that stand a good chance at being in the top/bottom 6. All of this information has previously been posted to our social media channels.

Here is a question about how to read the red arrow infographics, because I'm confused whether they signal the total count of visits or the leaderboard order. Let's take January 2025 as an example. In terms of total visits, is the least visited Pokémon Simisage or Binacle?

For each month, top left is #1, bottom right is #1025. I'll add the month-by-month images to the post to make it a bit clearer for people.

When we submit, do we just put the name (e.g., Bulbasaur) or do we also need to post the link to the pages? Mostly curious about the tiebreaker section since it seems like it might rely on more specificity or clarity regarding the answer.
I'll accept either. The name is basically just the link as is.

Congratulations to our winners!
I've pinged all winners with Forums accounts above, and if you're on the Bulbagarden Discord, I've already pinged you there too. You'll all be receiving an email from me shortly as well.

Some additional users will get a consolation prize badge here or on the Discord, for also having 12 points but losing out on the tiebreak. None of the users on that list actually has a forums account already, but if any of them set up a forums account (or join the Discord later, for that matter) those badges can be arranged at that time.
