Need help breeding shiny charmander

Hey guys
Currently I am SRing for a shiny charmander and dont worry I have tons of patience I WILL get one!
but I do need some advice on how to breed it so I have a higher chance of getting another shiny charmander so I can trade it
any advice?

I've heard of one way, where you take a foreign pokemon and your pokemon and the breed those two. So take a foreign Ditto plus your Charmander or whatever pokemon you're using to breed the shiny Charmander and put them in the daycare. It essentially makes it twice as easy to get the shiny pokemon. Turns out to be something like...1/4000+

When you get one, make it a Charizard, then make it hold an everstone. And pray it's female.

There is the Masuda Method, which is not by any means fool proof as I still haven't gotten MY shiny charmander. Outside that, there's RNGing, but as it is HGSS no one knows how to do that really. And there's luck.

Fact of the matter is, there's not really an easy way to breed for a shiny.

Well, I got a shiny charmander on HeartGold, was like, OMG,OMG,OMG, then the battery went.

I believe your easiest option is to soft reset for a shiny Charmander (I guess you get one from Oak after doing something, not this far in story yet).

Next option is to use the Masuda Method, as explained before, but parents just have to be international; a German Charizard with an English Charizard will work too. Then, the chance of hatching a shiny is 1/2048.

im currently SRing for my shiny charmander im at 800 and counting imo its the easiest method if you have the patience, just watch tv while doing it makes it easier
