Giratina's in there. You have to pass 3 pillars as in go forward past them. (Pillars = rocks with writing on them. The 1st doesn't count.) I honestly don't know how you get to the pillars. The 1st time I went through I got there easily, but then I went back to buy extra Dusk balls and couldn't get back. It took me forever. Go in the direction the rocks are pointing (if they're slanting in a direction, go that way) and bring lots of repels. The wild Pokemon range from 40s to 60s, so be very prepared. And bring LOTS of Dusk balls. I brought 30 and used every one.

Wild Pokemon are Bronzong and Haunter. I think I saw a Kadabra too, but I don't remember.

While we're on the subject, how do Dusk Balls compare to Ultra Balls when used inside a cave? While trying to catch Azelf, my Dusk Balls only ever shook once (sometimes not at all), but my Ultra Balls would shake two or three times. I may have just gotten unlucky, though, since I had more Ultras than Dusks.

Dusk Balls have 4X capture rate when used in caves or at night. I don't know if it can stack when used in a cave at night.

Yeah, Dusk balls are twice as good as Ultra balls in caves/at night. I dunno if it stacks, though.

Funny thing... I was wandering through the cave, and I couldn't find Giratina. I cried out "I'll never find that damn thing!" Then I walk into the next room, and there it is. Odd.

Dusk and Timer Balls are what you should bring. Dusk Balls should be used until you have no more, and if you brought 30 or more, by the time they're gone, the Timer Balls will have the same effectiveness.

Normal/Flying Pokémon should be quite useful against it, though eventually it starts struggling and kills itself.

Kinda funny, since I went to the cave for the first time to see what it looks like. I eventually ran into Giratina without meaning to, and caught it with a Dusk Ball 0.o.

Giratina was easier to catch than Azelf considering all my Pokemon were under-leveled.

Turnback Cave's "puzzle" is odd. Basically, it's a randomly generated map, like in Mystery Dungeon. Apparently, you are supposed to find three pillars, and after finding the third one, the next door leads you to Giratina's room. On each pillar is two numbers. The first number tells you how many pillars you've found and the second number is how many rooms you've gone through. I'm not sure if there's any way to tell which door leads to a pillar. If you make it to the end after getting Giratina, you can find a Rare Bone, but if you find the three pillars without choosing any wrong doors, you'll get a Reaper Cloth instead.

About GIRATINA

He is hard to capture to I reccomend using master ball. Even though, masterball might not be powerfull enough. Lower his HP and use False swipe then inflict sleep and give attract. That is a surefire combanation.

I had heard about Giratina, but I didn't know where it was located.
After I beat the E4 and got National Dex, I noticed that Spring Path popped up, so I decided to check it out.
I went into Turnback Cave, decided to try and find what I could get. About 2 minutes later I pop into a room that had Giratina in it, I was amazed.

I remember Giratina - I found him within five minutes in Turnback Cave, and then in the very first move of battle I used a Quick Ball and caught him =P

Um... You do know that the Master Ball always catches the Pokemon without fail, right?

I elected to use my Master Ball, though I realised in hindsight that I would have been better off saving it for one of the two that keep running away. Let's hope the Lottery pays off - it's only a one in one hundred thousand chance for each member number, so if I trade with a hundred thousand different people, I've got a better chance of winning. :)

The Master Ball can catch anything in one shot. And you can't use False Swipe unless you use a supplementary move, like Foresight. Also, there really isn't any secret to capturing legendaries. Giratina is just tougher cause it's not easy to use false swipe on it.

When I caught Giratina it was all a matter of taking my time. I beat Giratina until it was barely alive and then started throwing balls. Most legendaries I have noticed can be caught in less than forty turns. Forty I say because if you have absolutely no luck at all, it is almost guaranteed from what I have seen that if it goes that long, the Pokemon will most assuredly stay within a Timer Ball by then.

Ah Giratina, the suicidal Pokemon. Get in the ball, bitch!

I swear, the thing struggled itself to death like 5 times before I caught it with an Ultra ball. When I was traversing Turnback cave, I just kept heading north until I saw Giratina.
