Need help with Fire Emblem: Shadow Dragon (Chapter 9)

Okay, I'm at Chapter 9 in shadow dragon. Trying to go for a "No Casualities Run" (no Game Overs, no lost Units, with everyone except Norne recruited by the end, and canonically sacrificing Frey), and have hit a snag. See, in my last chapter, Lena' Warp Staff broke. At first I thought, "Eh. Not too big a deal. I can just run." Until I started chapter 9, and saw that there was a village on one side of the island. Now, as an FE player knows, every village has something special in it (such as a recruit, money, or sometimes a weapon like the dreaded Devil Axe), so you want to reach as many as you can. I tried to move Marth over to that village, but, a thief got there first and razed it into ruins. What was there, you ask? The recruit of a character named Jeorge. Now, I know what you people who have played Shadow Dragon are going to say, "Jeorge is WAY weaker than even Gordin or Castor! Why would you want HIM?!" and as I've said, I'm trying to get a many people on my side as I can. I cannot reach that village in time without Warping to it.

I have two options:

1. Restart the entire game (after getting so many casualities before, and playing chapters over and over until I win with no losses, I think I can handle that) and not be so hasty to use the Warp Staff.

2. Somehow get another one from somewhere. I have a regular DS, so I don't think there is a "store" I can buy one from, and the armory sells very basic equipment.

Oh, and if there is a "Need help with a game?" thread somewhere, can you please move it there?

I've never played Shadow Dragon, but it seems your best bet would be to send a cavalry unit to the village to get there before the Thief. Lords don't usually have the best movement range, so it's worth a try.
