So I'm trying to make a post in the joke thread that I want to contain spoilers. Every time I try "
" PEA for example, it actually shows up in the post spoiling the joke. I'm trying to get it together before people find out I actually spoiled it for them. It's about some episode off of Family Guy that I watched the other night and if they didn't see it, that would be spoiling it for them since I want to make them think and guess what the answer to the joke could be. So do I actually put the quotations around the box along with the word to go in there or do I not put the quotation marks around? Can someone show me how to do this other than that post in there I was reading that said: spoiler, here's how to do it. first write "
" (note the space between the r and ] to prevent the spoiler from initiating) write your sentence or pic, then write "
" because it didn't help me at all. I've never put spoiler tags on any forum before so this is new to me now.

Make sure you've got [ spoiler] what you don't want to spoil, then [ /spoiler]. Removing the spaces, of course, in the tags.

Does the [ /spoiler] actually seal up the spoiler and hides it or do you need the period? So basically if I want the word PEA in the joke to be hidden for example I would type [ spoiler PEA] [ /spoiler] or [ spoiler] and then [ /spoiler PEA] for example? I still don't get this since this still isn't very clear to me. Could you explain it better to me like do a spoiler and then tell me what you did exactly to get it so that I could understand the sophisticated concept of this?

Edit: I re-edited the post again in the thread and it worked out this time. Thank you ShinjiLover for your help and kindness. You're so cool. :)
