I'm posting this to just try and figure out... as I've been playing Pokemon Y, I've been trying to make posts to the Edit Requests topic about content I've come across and to help fill in missing data. However, outside of the first post I made, all my posts are now saying they require a moderator to approve my post. However, I have a feeling it shouldn't be doing this, as I've seen others post without a problem. So I'd like to find out if there's something I can do to fix this. I'm hoping this one won't require approval...
 
Weird, because when I did this, at first it didn't allow me to post anything, but now I can post without restriction (except the rules of course), but I did have to resend the posts.
 
I've actually tried posting things to topics in the X and Y forum area, but they never get posted. Do the posts that are waiting for moderation still exist, or are they deleted after a period of not being posted? Also, is there anyway we could get some notification that our posts are being posted or not being posted so that we aren't waiting in limbo for it to come into existence?

Still having this issue myself. Should I just retry if it doesn't work the first time? Tried to post in the trading forums...

I would suggest being patient and waiting or PMing a mod instead of making a duplicate of the topic. It may take a little while for things to get approval and show up but Im sure they will eventually.
 
Hello, I am also having this issue posting. I posted my hello in the Grotto as well as my Friend Code in the XY Friend Code thread, but it also says it needs to be approved.
 
I am having this issue as well, but it's strange because it seems like it's on and off. I was able to make an introduction thread in the Grotto no problem, thread was posted immediately. However, when I tried to reply, it said "Your post is awaiting approval." Other times, if I try to make a post, it will simply say nothing at all and the post will just vanish. It's really puzzling and annoying. I keep saving my posts to my computer's clipboard because I don't know if the post will go through or just vanish into the realms of Oblivion. xD
 
Yeah, we're really sorry about this guys. :/ Like Shiny Celebi said, your best bet until we fix this is to be patient or private message a moderator of the area you posted in and request approval, assuming it's been over 24 hours. I made an announcement for this in the Garden Grotto so people are aware. The issue mostly happens to newer members or those with few posts, so once you've hit a certain amount you should be fine.
 
I just joined today and I had this problem this morning, but my post count increased, and now it doesn't happen anymore. I'll be sure to read the announcements and inform family of this problem when they sign up here.
 
Yeah, this is a little pain in the rear- how many posts does it usually take? Not being able to post kind of kills the whole "hey, let's trade!" urge... but I'll just grin and bear it.

Any way the issue can be fixed so it's not a problem for other new users?
 
Yeah here the same, it's been 2 days now since i made a post in the battle center, in the "simple questions and answers thread" I even PM'ed a mod...
 
I'm glad this has a thread; I've made several posts (by which I mean at least 5) since I joined a couple days ago and only those in the Garden Grotto have ended up being visible. Not sure what to do here

If its taking a while for them to show up, you can PM a staff member about the posts, sometimes it takes a little while cause staff members can be busy.

How long will it be/how many posts do we need to make until this restriction is lifted?

I think it's around 5-10 usually.
