I kind of fucked up my router pretty severely. If anybody is very good with networking, let me know; I need some pretty high-level help.

Basically, my network demanded a password and a PIN and I threw in the PIN, and everything went to hell. The network became my laptop, I can't get the old network back, and now it's reset to Linksys but it's a local connection only.

Ideas?

I have no idea what you mean. :V PIN? The network is your laptop? What?

All routers have a PIN number stamped on them. It asked for that and the network password. I put them both in and the network went from MyApartment (hiding the name but you get the idea) to evkllaptop, the name of my computer, for everyone in the apartment.

Why does the router need to know something stamped on it? What exactly asked for this? When did it ask you this? What were you doing? Why were you doing it? How was the network set up before? Why did you need to change it? What do you mean by "reset to Linksys"?

Come on, man, don't make me play twenty questions. Describe exactly what your setup is, what you were doing, what you were trying to accomplish, and what the results were. And don't handwave with vague terms; I seriously doubt "the network" demanded any password.
