AP is reporting that John Negroponte, the National Intelligence Director--in charge of all intelligence activities for the United Stares--is moving to the State Department to be the second highest official next to Secretary of State Condoleeza Rice.

I guess NID wasn't that great a job.

It's become nearly impossible to keep track of Negroponte. He keeps changing jobs, to the bafflement of everyone else.
Unfortunately, this means Bush needs a new intelligence coordinator.
 
Looks like he's not the only one leaving. Linton Brooks, the nuclear security director is being forced to resign after a breach in security at the Los Alamos National Labratory. What a fun time to live in America.
