Since Blackjack's starting posting hers here, I thought I would too... For those of you who don't know, Rocket100 is a prompt community on LJ. Basically, these'll all be pretty short fics... but they're some of my best work lately.

So, I guess I'll go in order of posting...

1. Loyalty

This was the one, he thought. For a good length of time, Giovanni had been wondering if it'd existed- the perfect agent. And he was pretty sure he was looking at it.

This one had no problem staying completely behind him. His loyalty was completely unmatched. He didn't talk behind his back, never complained or asked for a raise. He was constantly there, and the only thing he ever asked in return was an occasional dish of milk, and maybe a scratch behind the ears.

Persian meowed, curious as to why his human was looking at him so wistfully.
"Oh, nothing, Persian."
Giovanni sighed. Why couldn't they ALL be Persian?

Very amusing. *Claps* And well done too! Also shows Giovanni as being a tad more human...

This one is *cuuuute*. I always love to see Gio showing some kind of affection for Persian.

Um... what kind of affection, Azurill? ^_-

Very amusing. *Claps* And well done too! Also shows Giovanni as being a tad more human...

Believe me, I make an EFFORT to make him human in everything I write.

No "OMG, personification of PURE EVAL!" here, my friend. He's a sad, broken man...

And speaking of the Boss, how about a few more, eh?

7. Music

Sebastian pawed through the cabinet thoughtfully, registering the information as he saw it.
"Terrible. Just shameful," he mumbled, making sure Giovanni, who was in the room with him, could hear it. What he was looking at truly was pitiful, in his opinion.
"I don't understand. I really just don't understand it," he added, with a hint of disgust.
"What? What's the problem, exactly?" Giovanni asked him, curious of the object of Sebastian's commentary.
"Honestly, how can you tolerate this kind of thing?" Sebastian replied. "I mean, it's just... so embarrassing. And awful." Sebastian held up a CD. Freddie Mercury stared out from the cover. "Just looking at it brings me a shock of disbelief..."
"Look," Giovanni protested, somewhat defensively, to Sebastian, "some of us like Queen, is that really such a problem? Like me."
He sighed. That was the last time he let Sebastian borrow music from him, he knew that much.

8. Partner

They had each other. He knew that much.
The two had been caught again, no thanks to those three... morons, and as Butch sat on the bed in their cell, he couldn't help but think, ironically, how lucky he was to be there. Could he really ask for much more than Cassidy? She was cute- no, screw that, hot, but more importantly, money couldn't buy him a more loyal partner and friend. He smiled, thinking of all they'd been through. They'd seen their share of embarrassing failures, but more importantly, they were there for each other through it all. Butch wondered how much the two of them had grown closer in the past few years from those very incidents.
"Butch." He looked up at Cassidy, who was staring at him, a little nervously.
"Yeah, Cass? What?"
"When... d'ya think he's gonna get here? You know? To get us out?"
Butch paused. "Oh. You mean, the boss. Don't know. Soon, I'm sure. I mean, you called him, right? Don't tell me you wasted that phone call to bite Jessie's head off again." He laughed to himself, remembering the last time they'd been screwed over by those idiots. Cassidy couldn't bear to wait to yell at her rival, and ended up using their one call to give Jessie a piece of her mind. He was so pissed off when she did it... but looking back, it was just like her.
"Yeah, I called him. He's probably going to be pretty ticked off.. he didn't sound too happy earlier..."
"Most likely," Butch replied. "Eh, he'll get over it. Eventually."
The two sat in silence, their shared anxiety over their futures hanging thick in the air.
"You know what?" Butch asked, finally breaking the silence.
"What?"
"...I love you..." Butch said. There. The words finally came out.
Cassidy smiled back.
"I know," she replied.

10. Confession

The three sat on the ground, staring at each other.
"We know one of us did it," James said, annoyed. "So why doesn't the guilty party just come out and admit it?
Two pairs of eyes glared at the Meowth, who shrank away. "Why ya all lookin' at me?" he asked, the fear in his voice obvious. "Come on, those rice balls was there a minute ago, you all know that. An' there's only ones of us who gots a mouth big enough to eat all of them that quickly." He grinned innocently.
"Yeah," Jessie said, "so why don't you 'fess up now? We're going to beat the stuffing out of you either way. Might as well have some honor about you."
"No, not me!" Meowth protested. "Wobbuffet did it, we know he's always da culprit when our food goes missing!"
The other two thought for a while, then all three simultaneously turned to stare down Wobbuffet.
"That. Was. Our. LUNCH, you gluttinous blue blob!"
Wobbuffet waved his blue arms in protest. "Wobba! Wobbaa!"
"Yeah, we'll forgive you," Meowth snarled, baring his claws, "when you fork us over our lunch!"
"WOBBAA!" Wobbuffet quickly started running away as fast as his feet could take him, the other three following behind.

Meanwhile, in a tree not too far away from the scene of the crime, May's Munchlax laughed to itself as it watched the events unfolding below, making sure to time his dropping the plate so it whacked Meowth in the head.

Oooooh, I like these. XD

Is anyone allowed to do these? I'm not exactly a scribe or anything, but I've got tons of Masukippa-related ideas in my ol' noggin.

Going back to numerical order... And Habunake, I'd love to see what you could do with Masukippa.

2. Mask

"Heh... isn't it perfect?" James admired his selection with a sly grin.
Jessie and Meowth both exchanged funny looks.
"Um... Look, I know how much you like Halloween, James, but aren't you a bit old to be dressing up at this point?" Jessie asked, mortified.
"What are you talking about? You even said last night you're never too old to have a little fun..."
"Yeah, but as a Meowth?" she asked, trying to ignore the puzzled bystanders watching the bizzare argument. She snatched the mask out of James's hands. "I mean, look at this, it's so cheap..."
"Not to mention an insult to our species," Meowth quipped, a little annoyed. "I don't really look like dat, do I, Jimmy?"
"NOBODY ASKED YOU!" the two snarled at him, as he backed down.
"Aww, please Jess?" James whined. "It's only one night, you know..."
Jessie sighed. "Fine," she replied, exasperated. "But you're NOT wearing that dress," she snapped, pointing at the witch costume he'd found earlier.
James sighed. It was Jessie's Halloween party, after all, he supposed.
Reluctantly, he returned the ragged black dress to the shelf.

3. Dreams

They came every night... unpleasant ones.
She wasn't sure what they meant, but they were there... The bugs. She was surrounded by them. Big ones. Scyther on all sides, their long, shining blades threatening to eviscerate her.
And when it looked like all hope was lost, she'd come back from behind, just like she always did, ready to fight them off. And fight them off she did. Without even breaking a sweat, actually. The same thing every night.
The Scyther weren't the problem though. In her short 16 years on earth, she'd seen worse. Deaths, sometimes at her own hands. A couple of blade armed beasts? Not a problem.
No, it was what happened afterward that bothered her. After the bugs... it all blacked out.
Darkness. Just like what was happening now.
Domino woke from her sleep, terrified. She'd heard tales of people foretelling their own demise through a dream... still, something gave her the impression that this wasn't the future she was seeing.
Every time she'd had that dream, she'd had an odd case of deja vu. Like she'd actually been in that situation, in reality, before.
She consoled herself the same way she did every night. That's ridiculous, she told herself silently. I've never even been wherever that always happens.
Part of her feared she was wrong.

4. Medicine

It was a strange feeling, illness. Sebastian thought he was immune to the common cold, but... no. He grabbed another tissue from the small, flower-patterned box on his desk, and sniffed into it, then threw it into the trash. The wadded ball of paper missed, badly, as it flew broadly over the wire wastebasket. He didn't bother to pick it up, but stared at it for a second then returned to his paper. He'd sent Bashou and Buson out earlier to buy some medicine... they'd been gone for nearly two hours now. Typical, he thought to himself. Buson's devil-may-care attitude always seemed to turn even a task as simple as "fix the damn Jeep" into a monstrous undertaking, mainly due to what seemed like Bashou's constant need to keep his partner's macho ego in check. More than likely, Sebastian thought, Buson was playing God's Gift to Women with the poor girl working the checkout at the drugstore, as the comparably tiny Bashou vainly tried to drag him away by his arm...
Sebastian laughed quietly to himself at the image that had formed in his mind, and it finally occurred to him why he kept them around instead of demanding they be transferred to some other department where they'd be out of his hair for good.
Research just wouldn't be the same without those two.
