New Amazing Spider-Man, Avengers trailers released

Suddenly, I'm very interested in seeing Amazing Spider-Man (really digging Denis Leary as George Stacy). Avengers is a LITTLE less interesting, though (plot's still too vague, though I believe I spotted some of the alien threat that's been rumored to be in the film). Still...both look great.

Spider-Man has always been my favorite comic so I am extremely excited for the reboot. I enjoyed the original films (except perhaps the 3rd) but I think Andrew Garfield is going to be amazing in the role.

The Avengers is still looking to be amazing but I'm not that enthusiastic about it.

Personally, I'm looking forward more to the Avengers film than the Spider Man film, but I will probably get around to seeing both...

I'm not sure what to think of this. I grew up with the Sam Raimi movies. It just seems a bit soon. I mean, Spider-Man 3 was released in, what, 2006, I believe?

A part of me predicts these movies will leave fans devided on which trilogy (if this will, in fact, be a trilogy) is superior. Nostalgia-fed fanbase wars and such. I dunno, I just have a feeling. :S

Avengers will be typical Marvel. Entertaining enough while you're watching it, but immediately forgettable afterwards.

Spider-Man looks a little more interesting, but I won't be convinced until I see it. Unfortunately, I see this version going a little too serious and forgetting Spider-Man should be fun - but the director's talented, so I'm looking forward to the inevitable sequel (where the major problems will probably be corrected) more.
