New cheer-themed merch collection coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan

The Pokémon Company has announced a new cheerful merch collection, starring Pikachu with its two hand fans and a Focus Band. The collection also features some other victorious Pokêmon, like Plusle and Minun with pom poms and Victini. The cheer collection will be available at Pokémon Centers across Japan beginning December 14th, and will become available at the Pokémon Center Online on December 12th.

The standout of the collection is the plush Pikachu, complete in its cheerful outfit, which will retail for ¥3,080 ($20.54 USD). Also interesting are the Focus Band with Pikachu on the tails for ¥1,100 ($7.33 USD), two hand fans featuring Rayquaza and Victini for ¥2,750 ($18.33 USD) each, and some keychains of the vitamin drinks which boost Pokémon stats for ¥990 ($6.60 USD) each. The collection is rounded out, as usual, by a variety of stationery. The cheering plush Pikachu is expected to become available for preorder via Amazon Japan on December 14th, and to go on sale on December 21st in limited quantities.
