During the Nintendo Spotlight presentation at E3, Tsunekazu Ishihara announced that Game Freak is working on a new core series Pokémon game for Nintendo Switch.

Sweet IMHO although i myself expect a early to late 2019 for release date.

as i expect them to possibly wrap up gen 7 next year on the 3ds provided they don't flood the ultra games with all the old legionaries like ORAS were and the switch games to be the first gen 8 titles hopefully with complete bank support as well

I'll be buying a Switch as soon as we get an official title announcement/trailer/etc.

Usually I buy Nintendo stuff at launch but I wanted to hold off to see if the Switch was truly supposed to be a "successor" to both the Wii U and 3DS... which it definitely seems like it is if main series Pokemon is moving there.
