As some of our British members may know, today, instead of airing The Battle According to Lenora, CITV decided to go back to airing In the Shadow of Zekrom. As it was only 14 episodes into the season, I decided to get in touch with ITV (the parent company of CITV).

The reason for them going to repeats is that due to the earthquake and tsunami in Japan earlier this year, production of season 14 was delayed (before people scream BS, it's their words, not mine) so the decision was taken to repeat the current 14 episodes during the summer holidays, as they hope most children will be away on holiday during this period, and that new episodes will be resuming this September, and will run through autumn. (So while they're not saying the Sendai earthquake has delayed the series, it's more of a case that they know problems will be arising soon, and the summer holidays was just the best period to avoid them).

The full response can be read below:
Dear Josh

Thank you for your email regarding Pokemon Black and White.

The CITV schedulers have replied with the following information:-

‘Unfortunately, due to events in Japan earlier this year, the production of Season 14 of Pokemon was delayed. Consequently, we've chosen to repeat the first 14 episodes over the summer holidays when people might be away.

We will however, return to new episodes from September and continue the series through the Autumn.’

May I take this opportunity to thank you for taking the time to contact us here at ITV Viewer Services.

If we can be of further assistance in the future please do not hesitate to contact us.

Kind regards

Elaine
