Hi everyone! My name is Matt, and I have been playing Pokemon since I was 10 in 1998, when I chose Charmander in Pokemon Red. I was really into the Pokemon Anime and played through Yellow and eventually Gold as well before growing out of the handheld games and into consoles. I still play my Xbox regularly, my GT is SgtSmeagol, I am always looking for more people to play. I got back into Pokemon last month when I was subbing long term for an English class at my old high school. A few of the young men were playing Pokemon near my desk during their free time and I ended up growing interested and watched. That also happened to be the time that Netflix put the Indigo League on as well! So I had a total reverse back to my 10 year old self and ran out and purchased a 2DS and Pokemon X. So far, I am loving every minute and am excited to play the Hoeen remakes this fall since I never experienced them before. Outside of video games, I coach basketball at a local university and substitute teach, and I am an avid airsoft player as well! Excited to become a part of the Pokemon community as an adult and continue learning.
 
Hello Matt, welcome :)

It seems like you've been away from Pokemon a long time but nows a great time to get back into it with the remakes happening :) Hoenn is a pretty cool region so they should be good games. I hope you enjoy it here and feel free to ask if you have any questions.

It has most certainly been a while! But it makes it feel fresh and new after being away for so long. As they say, absences make the heart grow fonder!
