I don't believe we've seen her in that Green Outfit before or her dancing around in her DP clothing...

Man, I REALLY like Hikari, especially her hair, reminds me of mine (but longer).
 
Those are great habunake. I saw where you posted in the isentucal thread in serebii saying she reminds you of you. But...how? You are male.
 
The last three frames make it look like this is indeed some form of fantasy.
 
The tux still wins, though I like her dresses too.

I love how long and flowing her hair is. It's a notable change from both Misty - who only took her hair down once in a blue moon, and then it varied in length for some reason - and May - who only had her ultra-long bangs, and that's boring.

I'm definitely liking what I'm seeing for Hikari. A little sugar, a little spice, and a little bit of everything nice - it really is what little girls are made of. Let's hope she'll turn out as cool as she seems.

Hair extensions. Granted it's just an animated show, but I could easily see the pearls on her mermaid outfit being a little clip that attaches it to her real hair.

And anywho, I'm totally loving Hikari's taste in fashion. Not only was her original design adorable, but it just keeps getting better and better! x3
 
Hikari is going to get more fanservice than either May or Misty did judging by just the first episode.

Everytime I think Hikari doing Contests is going to be a dull repeat of May and AG, I can't help but get excited because she's friggin cute. The writers are clearly trying to get us to like her as quickly as possible with how cute they're making her. I bet her ending theme will be filled with eye candy as well.

Those writers know just how to reel you in. Damn them! :D

I'm pretty sure she also had a long hair style in Princess Versus Princess, though - but I guess that could be extensions, too...

Yes, Hikari's costumes definitely win. The series has really been designing some great outfits lately - I though Movie 8 was unusually good for costume design with stuff like Aaron's hero costume, May's cute dress, and Jessie's completely-out-there-but-still-looking-pretty-darn-good-somehow outfit and hairdo. Now that I'm seeing the Diamond and Pearl clothes and costumes? I'm starting to think Movie 8 was just the beginning for the really awesome outfits.
 
I see I'm the only person in like, the world who's failing to be too impressed with Hikari. She's very cute and seems to be very spunky and upbeat, but she fails to hit my "OMIGOSH LURVE FOREVER" button.

Of course, I never had more than light fondness for Misty and May. A cartoon lady has to have skin made of reinforced steel to impress me. Brains made of pure, undiluted crack is a definite bonus.

I predict the Hikari fanboyism will dwarf even the May fanboyism, because of Hikari's short skirt and all the outfits she's changing into.

It is interesting to note how the girls get more and more feminine as time goes on. *shot*
 
From the pictures alone you can see she's energetic and full of life and passion, I think I'm gonna love her as a character on this show :3 I so can't wait to see her in action!
 
She keeps on making me think of her more and more as Marina from the GSC special, but on a never-ending sugar rush.

.... She reminds me of me a bit in the looks department (only cuter of course, she's an anime character), we have nearly the same hairstyle and apparently the same body type. Woot.

Anyway, she seems like a fun girl. I think I'll like her unless she turns out to be a passive-aggressive female Growlithe or something.

I'm glad she has a realistic chest, too. >>;;

If you ask me, Hikari's lower body is more of the "focus" then the top...

For the entire Pokemon franchise? It'll never happen. Ash is an icon of the Pokemon franchise, he has been for 10 years.

Hikari is just a D/P girl. She'll be popular for about the 4 years of her run like May was, but once the 5th gen games come out, she'll likely be phased out for the 5th gen girl.

Hikari will be for the D/P series what May was for the AG series, the popular female character who promotes Contests and co-stars the show with Ash.

When the next set of games come out, Hikari and D/P advertising will be old news by then, and she'll be replaced by the 5th gen girl and the cycle will repeat yet again.
 
...so negative.

Misty has been gone for like 5 years, and people still like her, as will the same happen with May and Hikari.
