RIDGWAY, Pa. - It's furry and walks on all fours. Beyond that, about the only thing certain about the critter photographed by a hunter's camera is that some people have gotten the notion it could be a Sasquatch, or bigfoot. Others say it's just a bear with a bad skin infection.

Pa. hunter's images stir Bigfoot debate - Full story

That's the world's skinniest bear if that's what it is.

To me, that looks too small to resemble a sasquatch, nor does it even seem to resemble a bear (It just looks more like a primate than a bear).
I'm no expert, but what bugs me is the fur looks like it'd be something too long for being so sick and it looks like it is built for a shift movement style of 4 legs, but moving upright. It's almost more like it is trying to stand up rather than move on all four.

That said, I have seen images of Juvenile bears that look that thin.
It looks more like someone took a chimp with them out in the woods. Whatever it is, it's a bad picture, and probably can't prove or disprove anything.

Looks like a human to me. Probably a dude in a suit. Few days before Halloween, why not?

Actually, I beleive something like bigfoot exists, but this isn't it since well... it's not big. (and I can't even make out any feet at all)

Could be a dog. Could be a person. Could be someone's pet ape, and/or an escaped ape. Could also be a skunk ape, some related crypto-hominid, or possibly a never-seen cryptid. So many options, so little real proof.

EDIT: Analysis of the photos alongside images of a gorilla and a mange-covered, emaciated bear.

looks like a monkey to me it culd have escaped from a zoo or sumthink but really if any of these monsters existed sumone would have found one by now. And anyway if that's a sasquatch what reasons are there to not believe in fairies, flying monkeys, tree dweeling killer spirits with the ability to turn your skin inside out, the whole point is that its supposed to scare you into thinking that there really is a sasquatch when the chances are very low.

People have found them. If you're wondering why no one's CAPTURED one, then I can point to a million examples. The western lowland gorilla was believed to be a myth until the 1950s. Despite numerous sightings, they were still seen as being people just imagining things. Then, one day, the right person saw one, and it was seen as fact. Giant squids fell into that same category until a few decades ago. The okapi. The coelocanth. The list goes on.

And anyway if that's a sasquatch what reasons are there to not believe in fairies, flying monkeys, tree dweeling killer spirits with the ability to turn your skin inside out, the whole point is that its supposed to scare you into thinking that there really is a sasquatch when the chances are very low.

Who would want to scare you? Who in numerous continents where similar creatures exist would want to scare you? And why?

As for the others, it's because you're making a wide jump in logic. It's one thing to say a flying monkey exists. It's another to say an ape-like creature exists. That's not to say they DO exist, but there are enough sightings to make me intrigued.

Um. You're both wrong. Pretty sure it's wereunicorn.

But more seriously...it's intriguing, especially as I used to be very into this kind of thing a few years ago. Didn't look all that different from a run-of-the-mill ape to me, but I'm no expert.

Maybe it's a new species of primates, or it might be fake. Who knows?
