Moment Factory specializes in using music, light, special effects, and immersive design to create interactive stories. The company has previously worked with many artists for concert design, including Billie Eilish, and at unusual venues such as The Sphere in Las Vegas. Mitsui Fudosan is known for creating large-scale experience spaces, and points to the Light Cycles event at the Kyoto Botanical Gardens as an example of its past work.
Details about the nature of the companies’ new Pokémon project are sparse. The companies tease that this experience will bring the Pokémon world to life, and that visitors can “connect with each other in the real world and embark on adventures as Pokémon Trainers…”
Andy Gose, Head of Media Production at TPCi, said:
People around the world are always eager to experience the world of Pokémon in new and meaningful ways. We are excited to see the joy it will bring to Trainers and the passion and adventure that unites the community.
This announcement unfortunately doesn’t come with any mockups or previews of the new experience, though more details will be revealed as the project approaches its opening date. A similarly mysterious interactive Pokémon experience was recently announced by The Pokémon Company and Universal Studios.
