New Main Character???

I saw on TV an episode of pokemon, a whole new series, but the main character isnt ash (oh nos). i forgot the name of the character
but i remember he had a pikachu with spiky hair named sparky.

can you tell me what series it is?
is the series going to replace the one with ash?

in my opinion they made an effort to make pokemon more popular by swapping characters, well it only made me :conangry:

If I'm not mistaken, Regie from the anime had a pikachu named ''Sparky...'' This character made his apperacnce while Ash was on his Pokemon League Challenge in Kanto...
 
There's no indication of any new series or new main character. Perhaps you saw an episode of pokemon chronicles that featured Ritchie?
 
That's a Pokemon spinoff you're talking about, another whole another show called Pokemon Chronicles (sp?). ^_^
 
Yea, I heard about Ritchie being sort of like an Ash-clone or something . . . . . .
 
It was probably the Celebi or Moltres ep...or maybe the one where Beaf (IT'S BUTCH!) and Cassidy kidnap Oak...
 
is the Chronicles a series?

if i remember well he was fighting Raikou.
 
You were watching Pokemon Chronicles. The first 3 episodes were about Jimmy and Raikou. Also Ritchie does appear in Chronicles.
 
If you mean Jimmy in the Legend of Thunder, that was also a Chronicles episode... but in Japan was its own mini-movie like Mewtwo Returns.

He had no Pikachu, he had Typhlosion. And the special is ten years old already. He's not gonna replace Ash (no matter how awesome that would be, since he has a Typhlosion).

ok - i figured it out.. what i watched was "the legend of thunder". and the sparky was in a differet episode...

anywy thanks for everyone and wikipedia :)
