Translation by GoNintendo:

- 6 worlds, 120 stars reconfirmed, multiple planets in each world

- Planets of water, ice, sand, and more

- Planet size varies wildly, as we have seen

- Bee Mario has the ability to use his stinger

- Boo Mario will be left alone by other boos

- The “butt stomp” has returned. You can see it about to happen in the second scan

- As we’ve seen, the multi-colored stars will gain you an extra man if you collect 100. They can also be used for special attacks other than shooting them.

The game truly looks like it will join the ranks of, or even surpass, Super Mario 64. I'm so glad to see so many classic enemies returning as well as very creative new ones. And the levels have the silliest and most fun designs I've ever seen. By the looks of it, I'm actually surprised this game is coming out this year.

Heh, a donut world.

I can't really find the words for it. The game truly looks amazing, and certainly one I'm picking up. [Galaxy is really coming out this year? woah]

On a side note, Those little bots in the corners with the Magi-Koopa, those look like the mysterious Smash Bros. bot/shadow monsters. I think there may be a correlation here....

Looks great. Now that it's coming out this year, I have enough reasons to bug my parents to get me a Wii for Christmas (although that's not gonna happen from the looks of things).

Why not get a job?

I'm only one year older then you and I make 100 a week. You can easily get enough money for a Wii in a few weeks.

I still want to see some more powers... at least 2 or 3 more.. and one has to give you invincibility, it's a rule!

But yeah... I really want a space mario, and one that maybe swims or something.

Mario can swim without power ups. Look more closely at the pics.

I think Bell meant something that improves your ability to swim (if not stay underwater indefinitely since they implemented breathing in Mario 64 -_-). Don't you remember the Frog Suit? That thing was badass, even if you could swim alright without it.

God, I miss the variety of power-ups that Super Mario Bros. 3 presented us. Although I doubt we'll see another selection like it, I'll take what I can get, and right now I'm hoping Bee Mario and Boo Mario can last indefinitely/until you take damage and be able to take them to different levels, unlike those shitty caps in 64. -_-

I never played SM3 because I keep getting mixed opinions on it. It looked like an overblown Super Mario World to me, though.

Glad to see this has alot of recognizable enemies, incuding Magikoopa, Dry Bones, and even Swoopers!

Space Bullet Bills for the win. Course they can't do much without gravity, but this is Mario Land.

Who else is pissed off about the fact that this game offers the same 120 stars mechanic all over? Talk about recreating the past. Sure, it worked for Mario 64 and Sunshine, but how about giving something new? It'll feel too used to be honest.

I'm not outraged or anything, but it'll probably feel a bit... stagnant? Detract slightly from the feeling of freshness. Certainly not something worth ranting about, but I'd like to see the formula shaken up a bit, to add that extra layer of freshness, to make the game really feel like something new.

Sorry to bump this up again, but here are higher quality pictures from the scan of last week (the one I have posted in the first post).

Here are some higher-quality screenshots of Super Mario Galaxy from the scans released a week ago:

Yeah, I kind-of agree, but what would a person replace it with? Going from the start of a course to the finish would require too much work or make the game too short. It also wouldn't give much replayablity. Then just making different destinations on the same course is the same as stars. That said, the stars make the most sense in this game though...

Truth be told, I'm a little disappointed because many critics and fans seem to hype this up as so great and new when it really isn't all that innovative at all. The planet scaling has been seen in Sonic before, and every part of the control is basically from Mario 64. Pointing and shooting stars is basically everything we did in other Wii games by now. Even the super-cool Bee mario was in Banjo-Kazooie (and the Ghost Mario is essentially the invisibility power up from Mario 64)

I'm sure there is more and it's put together in a different way, but right now it's slightly disappointing. I guess the game is more trying to advertise itself towards being the Super Mario World of the 64 series rather than being the next evolution of Mario Brothers. Which is good too.

Two new scans.

The girl next to Peach in the second scan is named Rozetta. I'm not sure if that's another form for Peach or a new character.

We've known about Rosetta for a while...she's not Peach as far as I know.

Rosetta is pretty sexy. <3

AND I REALLY WANT TATANGA TO BE THE MAIN VILLAIN! IT'S SUCH A PERFECT FIT!
