New Mass Outbreak event now live in Pokémon TCG Pocket, focusing on Tapu Koko ex, Lanturn ex, and other Lightning-type Pokémon

A Lightning-type Pokémon Mass Outbreak Event has launched today in Pokémon TCG Pocket, offering players the opportunity to more easily acquire various cards relating to Lightning-type Pokémon, together with new Flair. This event will run through to August 31st at 5:59am (UTC) / August 30st, at 10:59pm (PDT).

Mass Outbreak Events share similarities with the Wonder Pick events. Every time a player's Wonder Pick is updated, there will be a chance of a Bonus Pick or a Rare Pick being made available. Bonus Picks are free, however Rare Picks will require 3 Wonder Stamina.

Each Bonus Pick in this event will include a random selection of the following cards from the Space-Time Smackdown, Triumphant Light, Extradimensional Crisis, Eevee Grove, and Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansions:

• Rotom (Space-Time Smackdown 62)
• Pikachu (Triumphant Light 25)
• Electrical Cord (Extradimensional Crisis 65)
• Joltik (Eevee Grove 26)
• Galvantula (Eevee Grove 27)
• Chinchou (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 64)
• Mareep (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 67)
• Flaaffy (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 68)
• Emolga (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 72)
• Elemental Switch (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 151)

Each Rare Pick in this event meanwhile will include a random selection of the following cards from the Extradimensional Crisis and Wisdom of Sea and Sky expansions:

• Tapu Koko ex (Extradimensional Crisis 19)
• Zeraora (Extradimensional Crisis 21)
• Lanturn ex (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 65)
• Pichu (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 66)
• Ampharos (Wisdom of Sea and Sky 69)

Each of these picks will expire after 30 minutes to an hour, so players will need to check their Wonder Pick lists frequently to ensure they make use of every opportunity. Players who obtain enough Tapu Koko ex or Lanturn ex will be able to exchange their duplicates and an amount of shinedust for the new event-limited Tapu Koko ex Lightning Surge Flair: Yellow (Cosmetic) or Lanturn ex Glowing Ring Flair: Yellow (Battle).

A set of special Missions are also available for this event, awarding players with Wonder Hourglass that can be used to recharge Wonder Stamina. These missions and their rewards are as follows:

• Wonder pick 3 times - Shop Ticket ×2, Wonder Hourglass ×2
• Wonder pick 5 times - Shop Ticket ×3, Wonder Hourglass ×3
• Collect 5 Lightning type cards - Shop Ticket ×3, Wonder Hourglass ×2
• Collect 10 Lightning type cards - Shop Ticket ×5, Wonder Hourglass ×3
• Collect 15 Lightning type cards - Shop Ticket ×7, Wonder Hourglass ×4
