New Mass Outbreak event now live in Pokémon TCG Pocket, focusing on Zapdos ex and other Lightning-type Pokémon

A Lightning-type Pokémon Mass Outbreak Event has launched today in Pokémon TCG Pocket, offering players the opportunity to more easily acquire various cards of various Lightning-type Pokémon, as well as new Flair. On Christmas Day, the in-game shop also updated its lineup with a selection of sale bundles for Poké Gold, and a selection of Holiday event missions were also added. All these events and sale bundles will run through to January 1st at 5:59am (UTC) / December 31st, at 9:59pm (PST).

Lightning Pokémon Mass Outbreak Event
Mass Outbreak Events share similarities with the Wonder Pick events. Every time a player's Wonder Pick is updated, there will be a chance of a Bonus Pick or a Rare Pick being made available. Bonus Picks are free, however Rare Picks will require 3 Wonder Stamina.

Each Bonus Pick in this event will include a random selection of the following cards from the Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions:

• Magnemite (Genetic Apex 97)
• Helioptile (Genetic Apex 110)
• Heliolisk (Genetic Apex 111)
• Pincurchin (Genetic Apex 112)
• Pikachu (Mythical Island 25)
• Electabuzz (Mythical Island 27)
• Joltik (Mythical Island 28)
• Galvantula (Mythical Island 29)
• Dedenne (Mythical Island 30)
• Lt. Surge (Genetic Apex 226)

Each Rare Pick in this event meanwhile will include a random selection of the following cards from tthe Genetic Apex and Mythical Island expansions:

• Magneton (Genetic Apex 98)
• Zapdos ex (Genetic Apex 104)
• Pincurchin (Genetic Apex 112)
• Raichu (Mythical Island 26)
• Electabuzz (Mythical Island 27)
• Galvantula (Mythical Island 29)
• Lt. Surge (Genetic Apex 226)

Each of these picks will expire after 30 minutes to an hour, so players will need to check their Wonder Pick lists frequently to ensure they make use of every opportunity.

Players who obtain enough Zapdos ex will be able to exchange their duplicates and an amount of shinedust for the new event-limited Zapdos ex Star Outlines Flair: Yellow (Battle).

A set of special Missions are also available for this event, awarding players with Wonder Hourglass that can be used to recharge Wonder Stamina. These missions and their rewards are as follows:

• Collect 1 Zapdos ex card - Wonder Hourglass ×1, Shop Ticket ×1
• Wonder pick 3 times - Wonder Hourglass ×1, Shop Ticket ×1
• Wonder pick 5 times - Wonder Hourglass ×3, Shop Ticket ×3
• Collect 5 Lightning type cards - Wonder Hourglass ×2, Shop Ticket ×3
• Collect 10 Lightning type cards - Wonder Hourglass ×3, Shop Ticket ×5
• Collect 15 Lightning type cards - Wonder Hourglass ×5, Shop Ticket ×7

Holiday Sale prices on Poké Gold
Three bundles were added to the in-game shop on Christmas Day, offering a reduced price on Poké Gold purchases. These bundles and their contests are as follows:

Holiday Event Missions
A set of special event missions were added to the game on Christmas Day, awarding players just for logging in over the holiday period. Players can obtain the following for each daily login.

• Log in - Pack Hourglass ×12
• Log in (Day 2) - Mythical Island Pack ×1
• Log in (Day 3) - Mythical Island Pack ×1
• Log in (Day 4) - Pack Hourglass ×12
• Log in (Day 5) - Mythical Island Pack ×1
• Log in (Day 6) - Mythical Island Pack ×1
• Log in (Day 7) - Pack Hourglass ×12

Each of these rewards is awarded sequentially, so players who missed the first day will still start with the "Log in" mission rather than skipping ahead to "Log in (Day 2)". Players will also receive additional bonuses depending on the number of missions completed:

• Missions completed: 4 - Wonder Hourglass ×12
