There will be three new Mega Evolution plushes arriving to the Pokémon Center, being Mega Absol, Mega Banette, and Mega Sableye. Banette has poseable arms, while Sableye’s gem is made with a shiny fabric. Each plush retails for ¥5,500 ($34.81 USD). These plushes are scheduled to be available via Amazon Japan in limited quantities beginning January 31st, with preorders opening there on January 24th.
Takara Tomy’s new plush Pikachu is made to look like the Pokémon’s design from 1996, when it was rounder, lovingly named “Chonkachu” by fans. The anniversary plush will be approximately 15 ½ inches tall and 11 ⅕ inches thick, and will retail for ¥7,480 ($47.37 USD). The plush will arrive in a special box with a Pokémon 30th anniversary design, though this design is still forthcoming. Pikachu is limited to one per customer and is only available online.
Takara Tomy’s website ships only within Japan; however, they have partnered with 3rd party proxy purchasing service Buyee to offer international shipping to 19 countries including the US, UK, and Canada. Find more international shipping info from Takara Tomy here.
