New merch celebrating Pokémon GO’s 10th anniversary coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, plus new Timeless Adventure merch inspired by Unova

The Pokémon Company is celebrating two anniversaries this year; the 30th anniversary of Pokémon Red and Green, and the 10th anniversary of Pokémon GO. Pokémon Centers in Japan are rolling out merchandise collections in celebration of both, starting with a new addition to the Timeless Adventure series, this time inspired by the Unova region. The newest Timeless Adventure set will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on July 4th and to the Pokémon Center Online on July 2nd. Pokémon GO’s 10th anniversary merch will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan on July 11th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on July 9th.

The Timeless Adventure series has arrived in Unova, after having featured a mini merch collection for each region before it. This set has a “going out” theme, featuring Snivy, Tepig, and Oshawott visiting Skyarrow Bridge. The big ticket item for Unova is carry-on luggage, which comes in three designs (Grass, Fire, or Water, of course). The luggage features all the first-partner Pokémon of the type and a transparent compartment so plushes can travel too. The luggage retails for ¥26,400 ($163.21 USD) a piece. The collection also includes, as is usual for the Timeless Adventure series, a file folder for ¥495 ($3.06 USD), a set of stickers for ¥770 ($4.76 USD), and a souvenir cookie tin for ¥1,760 ($10.88 USD). An acrylic keychain will retail for ¥935 ($5.78 USD), and an acrylic block decor piece for ¥2,860 ($17.68 USD).

The merchandise collection for Pokémon GO's 10th anniversary stars Pikachu as Professor Willow’s Assistant, dressed in a lab coat and green-and-black gear. A plush Assistant Pikachu will be available for ¥2,750 ($17 USD), and a plush keychain will be ¥1,980 ($12.24 USD). A t-shirt with a pocket perfect for the Pokémon GO Plus + accessory will retail for ¥3,850 ($23.80 USD), and a baseball cap will be ¥2,970 ($18.36 USD). Finally, an acrylic keychain will be available for ¥770 ($4.76 USD), and a file folder will be ¥275 ($1.70 USD).

The Pokémon GO collection of course coincides with in-game anniversary events, including Timed Research, which Trainers can check out here. It also coincides with events happening in-store at Pokémon Center locations in Japan. Customers can earn three different Pokémon GO stickers by making purchases at Pokémon Centers three weeks in a row, plus an Assistant Pikachu sticker is available just for visiting a store.
