Don't know if I'm the only one who thinks this stuff is interesting, but over at Nintendo.com they posted a bunch of new XD screenshots about a week ago. In doing so, they also announced the (I assume) default name of the main character (Michael), his sister (Jovi), his mother (Lily) who's a research assistant for the Pokemon professor of the region (Prof. Krane). They also go into a fair amount of detail on the new purifying chamber.

They also reveal that you get your evo item for your Eevee almost right off the bat (they show pictures of all 5 evolutions at lvl 16, and even if it starts off at lvl 5, that's pretty early).

Well, from what it sounds like, it'll start off like Colosseum (there's still a shrine), but through the game, the chamber will be built. It mentions that you have to have at least a few purified Pokemon before using the chamber. But the idea that you can put 9 in the chamber will make the purifying process (hopefully) immensely faster. But with details kinda sketchy...only time will tell.

Cipher makes Colosseum's Team Snagem look like a bunch of two-bit amateurs. This is made immediately clear during the game's opening sequence, when you witness Cipher's Shadow Lugia effortlessly pluck a massive cargo ship straight out of the ocean.

They should've remembered that Team Snagem and Cipher were working together in Colosseum. Gonzap even mentions it after you whip him at the Realgam Tower.

Well, obviously they've parted company and have advanced in ways that Snagem has failed in. Although, hopefully, they'll fill in the holes.

:thumbd:

Seems like somebody's forgetting something here. Lugias are only 17 feet long, if I remember right... that ship must not be too "massive" after all.

That, or this game's suffering from "Lame Anime Mistake Syndrome"... either the average size for a human is a little over 3 feet, or most of the Pokémon are about twice as big as they should be....

Not only that, you spent more time fighting Cipher in Col than Snagem. I think maybe 3 enemies and maybe 5 minor enemies were Snagem. Compared to like 50 members of Cipher.

It's akin to saying that Roxanne was the major opponent in Ruby and Sapphire . . .

When I first saw Miror B. in Colosseum, I was like WTF? My first reaction to his appearence was that he was either gay or clinically insane. Maybe both. The XD artwork of him supports my first guess.

He's got a whole Michal Jackson-ish kinda look to him now.
I guess in whatever time has passed between Colloseum and XD, Miror B. has gone from a 70's style to 80's

LOL! You're right, he does kind of have a MJ look to him now. In Colosseum, he kind of reminded me of a rodeo clown because of the way he dressed, and maybe because some of Orre looked kind of western.
