About Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe
For the first time ever Scorpion, Sub-Zero and the Mortal Kombat warriors battle with Batman, Superman and other popular DC Universe Super Heroes. Choose your side and challenge your opponents with a new fighting system including Freefall Kombat and Klose Kombat along with dynamic multi-tiered environments. Plus, pick your favorite character from MK or DCU and pursue a fighting adventure in the new single player mode with an intertwined storyline and two unique perspectives.

Pictures at the link above. Shows Flash vs Scorpion, Flash vs Superman, Superman vs Scorpion (Superman using his heat vision...thing), and a few others.

The "Freefall Kombat" and "Klose Kombat" systems seem interesting. And it's nice to see there's going to be an actual storyline.

I have to say, that Gotham City stage looks really cool. I'm not sure if I'm glad there's a story, though...sometimes stories in fighting games can be pointless and silly.

This....doesn't look as shitty as it seemed when news first broke. I like the design of the Batcave level.

Bumping this back up with some new info. First off, new details and a video. Looks like Catwoman, Sonya, and Shang Tsung are all in it. And, if you watch the video and wait for the last 5 seconds, you'll see a defeated Flash, a victorious Scorpoin, and hear the infamous phrase: "Finish him."

Also looks like there's going to be a hell of a lot of destruction potential in this game and massive stages. Or else the video just makes things look bigger.

Hate to double-post, but I don't want to start a new thread for these little details.

First off, the cast of characters as it stands right now:

Mortal Kombat:
Sonja Blade
Shiang Tsung
Liu Kang
Sub Zero
Scorpion
Jax
Kitana

DC Universe:
Superman
Batman
Catwoman
Flash
Shazam/Captain Marvel
Green Lantern (Hal Jordan, apparently)
Joker

I'm picking out some of the better details from the source:

When the lights came back up, the first thing Boon mentioned was the question that was on everyone’s mind, if you play as Superman, how could you lose? He then reminded audience of the Man of Steel’s non-mineral related weakness: Magic. Palmiotti then said that the game’s story would explain that when the magic-heavy MK universe merged with the DCU, it brought Superman closer down to earth, but didn’t rob him entirely of his powers.

Who are the Bosses in the game? Can it be Doomsday? Boon can’t say, except that it will be “big”

It’s rated T, was that hard to do for a MK game? Boon says no one wants to see Superman’s head getting ripped off, or him ripping any heads off (some in the crowd disagree). The DC Heroes will deliver Brutalities (punishing, but non-lethal beat-downs) while all the MK characters and the DC Villains will be able to use Fatalities.

A Wii version? No only PS3 and Xbox 360

Any DC heroes or villains you couldn’t get? Boon said they were open, but he didn’t want it to get silly, so no Bat-mite or Mr. Mxyzptlk.

Was hoping for a Wii version, but I'm not too shocked that there won't be one.

It's nice to see that they found a convincing way (sort of) to depower Superman (but isn't Shazam on the same power level and doesn't he owe his powers to magic? Wouldn't this, if anything, make him STRONGER?).

Not my universes to be honest and I dislike Mortal Kombat because I find the Dead or Alive and the Street Fighter series to be superior to MK. Additionally I am not a huge fan of DC either so I will not even consider purchasing it.
