New National Pokédex metal charms featuring Johto Pokémon coming to Pokémon Centers in Japan, plus new cards and holiday stationery

The Pokémon Company is debuting a few kinds of new merchandise today, including a large addition to their National Pokédex metal charms and a collection of cards, envelopes, and other gifting supplies for Japanese New Year. Both collections will arrive at Pokémon Centers in Japan beginning November 15th, and to the Pokémon Center Online on November 13th.

The new metal charms include Pokémon who originally debuted in the Johto Pokédex. Sixty-three sets of charms which include 90 Gen II Pokémon will be available, including Legendaries from the region and every form of Unown. Charms are sold in sets based on their evolution lines, with singles like Smeargle priced at ¥198 ($1.29 USD) each, and sets of three like Totodile, Croconaw, and Feraligatr retailing for ¥561 ($3.66 USD).

The Pokémon Company is also showing off a collection of festive cards, envelopes, and small gifts. Three envelopes feature mizuhiki, which are traditional decorative knots, of Pikachu, a Poké Ball, or a Premier Ball for ¥990 ($6.46 USD) each. A set of three small envelopes featuring Kartana will retail for ¥550 ($3.59 USD), and three sticky gift tags of Kartana will be ¥880 ($5.74 USD). An envelope that comes with a tiny Pikachu plush keychain retails for ¥1,320 ($8.62 USD), and a birthday card that, when opened, reveals all 151 original Pokémon will be ¥550 ($3.59 USD).

A congratulations card, an Eeveelution birthday card, and two different floral greeting cards will each retail for ¥550 ($3.59 USD). Pikachu with a bouquet of flowers will feature as a fluffy card for ¥770 ($5.03 USD), and a fluffy Substitute doll card will be ¥550 ($3.59 USD). Two mini thank you cards, featuring different forms of Vulpix or Zorua, will be ¥550 ($3.59 USD) each. Extra-mini stickable cards come in sets of six for ¥550 ($3.59 USD), being either a set of Ditto or a set of different Poké Balls.

Neither of these collections is scheduled to be available via Amazon Japan.
