New Nintendo 3DS family release announced for North America, Europe: North America to only get ...

The New Nintendo 3DS XL will be available in North America and Europe on Feb. 13, and the New Nintendo 3DS will also be available in Europe on Feb. 13. There is no information about the release of the smaller New Nintendo 3DS in North America.

I'm really hoping we get some info on the smaller New 3DS, as I don't really need an XL. I'm also hoping that they expand the available colors; I'd love to get the metallic blue but that's not possible, it would seem.

Ugh, I started an article on a petition about the North American release of the New Nintendo 3DS on Bulbanews, and when I got back from shopping with my parents, the article was deleted. This is so unfair. That's two strikes in a row for article deletion.

I'm hoping they decide to release the smaller New Nintendo 3DS at a little later date. I would've purchased a white one as soon as I had the money saved up, but I have little reason to settle for the XL. I've had all 3 iterations of the 3DS--3DS, XL, and 2DS--and honestly I like my 2DS over my XL quite a bit.
