Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

I don't know, but I disliked the idea at first.
Now I'm ok with it, I just hope a lot of Johto and Sinnoh Pokémon are in there.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

I have an idea. I could list all the pre-Gen V Pokemon that are known to be in the new Unova Dex, and then update it as time goes on.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

I know a lot of people are going to roll their eyes at this, but we don't know if the 300 Pokemon are only Unova and old Pokemon. I'm hanging onto a tiny shred of hope that we'll get some new Pokemon. Not counting new forms of course.

Haters can stand to the right.

I agree with you.
I think some of the 300 Pokemon are new evolutions or something.

I hope the two of you are right. I've always gotten bored of the remake games because there were no new pokemon.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

I dunno. I always thought that it was best to introduce new pokemon at the beginning of the generation, especially for issues of connectivity with the rest of the games in the generation. I'm expecting that all of the pokemon in the Isshu pokedex are already existing pokemon.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

We have 152 Unova Pokémon (assuming Keldeo, Meloetta and Genesect aren't won't be in there). And the 30 old Pokémon GallifreyanGallade just mentioned.

That's 182 all up with 118 spots remaining.

I do not want to see new Pokémon, only the ones we know now. I'm hoping the usuals (Pikachu line, Rhydon line) are in there, not sure about the Zubat or Machop lines though.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

a new poke i could imagine is Krimigan pre evolution! I'm connecting this a bit to the anime, want Iris to catch a dragon!
a Basculin evolution!
but truly I don't belive into new ones appearing!

You forgot Remoraid and Octillery. Remoraid is obviously going to be one since it is needed to evolve Mantyke.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

I'm hoping that Pokemon with hidden abilities will somehow be available in-game, which would certainly make the prospect of older Pokes returning more exciting. If that is the case, then hopefully Natu, Shroomish, Shinx and Spinda will be in there somewhere.

Hmm... I guess I could add them as well.

EDIT: Hopefully we'll get some old starter Pokemon as well, seeing as that's what we got in the Johto Dex.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

I really hope they add some more fish pokemon. The Unova surfing routes were kinda boring with only Basculin and Alomomola. I also want Hippopotas & Skorupi for Route 4 and Nosepass for Chargestone Cave. Some Gible or Bagon in Dragonspiraltower would be cool too.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

Marill line needs to be added now.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

I guess that we're going to find the pokemon that were in eastern Unova in BW.

So, I'll hazard a guess at these:

Absol - Giant Chasm. I think we'll have to go back to Giant Chasm for Kyurem in this game (maybe. unless they change it all up) and Absol is usually fairly late in the game.
Heracross - not sure. Maybe Pinwheel Forest if we can't access it straight after getting to Castelia. Otherwise I'd say a later route.
Volbeat - probably an early route/forest depending how the map works.
Murkrow - Some route.
Misdreavus - Celestial Tower, probably. Or, considering it's in Mt. Silver, I suppose Twist Moutain or Chargestone or something. Maybe even Dragonspiral. Who knows.
Spheal - I'm hoping its available early on, because in R/S/E it came to late imo. But Ice-types are generally later in the game so I won't get my hopes up.
Horsea - early on if we get a fishing rod. If not, then probably once we get Surf or something.
Mareep - an early-ish route of course. I hope it doesn't replace Blitzle (I'd like both to be available near the beginning)
Mawile - Twist Mountain or Wellspring Cave maybe. Depends how the map works and if it has any new additions. Maybe even Route 4, provided we can still access the desert (I'm fairly certain we will, it's too huge an area to just cut it out)
Zangoose - I'd say in between Mistralton and Icirrus.
Gligar - the desert. Duh.
Feebas - probably fishing. I'm sure we'll get a rod at some point.
Buizel - this will be near the new pacifilog place below Driftveil. I'd bet my money on it.
Swinub - Twist Mountain.
Chimecho - Celestial Tower maybe? There's a bell on top, and chimecho has a bell. It was also found on Mt.Pyre which is a similar place to Celestial Tower.
Wingull - I think they might add these to the Ducklett spots.
Drifloon - Maybe you encounter one in Castelia City? :p

I won't post more suggestions atm because it's just getting tl;dr.

I really hope they don't include Tentacool, Geodude, Zubat, Gastly, Machop, and whatever else there is, though. They have a chance to give us an interesting dex, and with Roggenrola, Frillish, Litwick, Timburr etc I don't really think we need both lines. I can forgive Magikarp for some reason though, so I'd be fine they added it.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova!

We're getting Growlithe, so I hope Vulpix will be included too. :3

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova! (First post has currently known list!)

@Gallifreyian Gallade I added your list to the first post, just so it's easily findable. Hope you don't mind. I also added the Marill line to it, since they're on the leaflet-thing sunyshore posted, so that confirms them.

Re: New/Old Pokemons in Unova! (First post has currently known list!)

It would be neat if some more powerful things such as Beldum and Larvitar are added early in the games. Or,if not,Deino and Axew line,so that we can actually have their final evos by the end of the main storyline.

Beldum shouldn't be early or wild IMO. That thing has a 3 catch rate and has a very good chance of KOing it's self. It would be better for it to be a gift or a trade pokemon.
