Hyper Training, a new method of boosting a Pokémon's stats, will appear in Pokémon Sun and Moon. Whereas Super Training allows the player to increase a Pokémon's EVs(officially referred to as base stats), Hyper Training allows players to increase a level 100 Pokémon's IVs (officially referred to as individual strengths). This is the first time in the games that it will be possible to modify a Pokémon's IVs after it is obtained.

WHAT.

Will there be restrictions on this? Are you limited to only 3 Max IVs per Pokémon or something? Does this mean you only need to breed/soft reset for Nature now? I have so many questions!!

I was losing faith in this generation because it seemed at littlle mini game heavy. But if Raisible IV's are confirmed than this is the best generation. We can finally use our inggame pokemon competitively.

I have a theory. Seeing how Magnera has a Silver Bottle Cap when you get it, I'm guessing that depending on the type of bottle cap depends on what you can get in terms of Hyper Training. Say for example, the Silver Bottle Cap allows you to have three IVs maxed out and that's it, while say a Bronze Bottle Cap will only allow you to max out two IVs. I also have a theory that you can only use one Bottle Cap per Pokemon, so that might be the limit there. Again, this is just my theory from what info we have, but it might be the case. But, on the plus side, it means that ANY Pokemon is pretty much now viable for competitive play, which makes me happy. Now that means is Nature and move choices will be the limit to your Pokemon's progress at any time and anywhere.

I have to admit it is a improvement to what I believed the lackluster Super Training feature. Making it easier for people to get into the competitive scene, in my opinion(I am not a competitive battler so I'm unsure), and be able to get IV's easier overall.

I'm pretty sure you usually want only certain IV's on Pokemon, not all of them. Don't get me wrong, I am pretty sure everyone wants all 6 IV stats on a Pokemon. I'm not a competitive battler as I said above, but that's usually what I hear. Wanting a few specific IV's on a Pokemon.
