New Pokémon Merch World Record Holder

The title of world’s most obsessive Pokémon collector ever has been seized by an English lady.

Guiness have officially acknowledged Lisa Courtney as the world record holder for Pokémon amassment, with 12,113 articles amassed over 13 years.

She speaks of the trials of obsession:

“My family have been incredibly supportive considering the collection takes up the whole house, including my mother’s room!

I’ve even named the room where my main collection resides ‘Pokémon Centre Europe!’

To be in the new Gamer’s Edition and to hold a world record for something you feel so passionate about is just an indescribable feeling.”

What I find interesting is that this is just hitting news now when apparently the certificate was given to her in June last year. They probably waited for the gamers record book to hit stores, but I can't think of *why*.
