Not including the three Wiiware games that were only released for Japan, we haven't had a Mystery Dungeon game since Explorers of Sky in 2009. Hopefully we'll be getting a new one soon, whether it be Gen V or Gen VI. So what would you like to see in a new game?
Obviously a great story is a must. Both the first two pairs had very touching stories. Explorers of Time & Darkness introduced the guild, which was fun and added to the story. The music from both games was pretty good. I really don't have anything specific to say. As long as it's as good as the first two and has an original story, it should be great.

I want something similar to Primal Dialga like a Primal version of Zekrom?

The only thing I want is no gender stereotypes.. :< I want to be a boy Skitty, or a girl Machop.

I had an idea that kind of incorporated the theme of Black and White (the separation of Pokemon and Humans), kind of serving as a "What if?" if N's original goal had come true...basically, the setting would be a peaceful island full of Pokemon that have no clue about the existence of humans. The other Mysterious Dungeon games never really touch on humans, except the Pokemon seem to know they exist somewhere, but in this game they would literally have no clue what a "human" is.

The island they lived on would be a perfect paradise, with a bit of a nod towards the Garden of Eden. They live a peaceful, if dull, existence under the rule of Prince Keldeo and his three loyal knights Cobalion, Terrakion, and Virizion.

One day, however, a mysterious Pokemon appears and begins to spread the rumor of a land where Pokemon exist belong-side creatures known as "humans", the two working together in a symbiotic relationship to unlock one another's potential. At first the Pokemon is deemed crazy, but the idea is soon planted in a few Pokemon who attempt to leave the island. Suddenly, the once noble and benevolent Keldeo declares martial law, and his knights turn into zealots who punish anyone who dares speak of the land of humans, and prevent anyone from leaving the island. Not even Flying or Water-type Pokemon can leave due to a strange storm that, when entered, simply sends the person back to the start (caused by Tornadus and Thundurus). Meanwhile, the citizens of the island soon begin to revolt due to the harsh dictatorship of Keldeo, and many of them soon become violent, uncontrollable, and savage. Thus the peaceful Pokemon are stuck in the middle of a conflict between the Knights of Keldeo and the legions of bandit Pokemon terrorizing the countryside. During this time, groups called "Brotherhoods", dedicated to protecting the innocent from both sides of the conflict and rebelling against Keldeo's tyrannical rule, appear which serve as the new Rescue Teams/Guilds.

The most notable Brotherhood is the Brotherhood of Ideals/Brotherhood of Truth (each version would be called Brotherhood of Fire/Brotherhood of Thunder, representing the Legendary Dragons, and as an extension what they represent) led by the former bandit king Krookodile. Among his ranks is his loyal friend Foongus, an orphan who Krookodile took in after he killed his parents during a raid, which caused his change of heart; the mysterious Accelgor, who has a past as a member of Keldeo's knights; the Krokorok brothers, who are his number 1 underlings from his thief days; Scraggy, another thief who is a bit untrustworthy; the three Patrat Patrol, who watch out for danger constantly; and Lady Lilligant, who runs a hidden bar for the rebels. There is also the Partner, a new recruit who was heavily influenced by the legend of the human world. They travel around fighting injustice, defeating dangerous thieves, and overall helping out the common folk.

When their morale is down, they learn that the "Great Prophet" (the name of the Pokemon who spoke of humans) is being held captive at a prison, and come up with a plan to save him. Enter the Player Character, a human who finds himself as a Pokemon...the same Pokemon species as the Great Prophet...and no clue how he ended up in prison. While the Brotherhood is disappointed, the player character agrees to join the Brotherhood, and serve as a morale booster since he does know of the human world being one, in order to find a way back home.

The villains are made up of Keldeo, the real prince whose youth is exploited by those above him and he's naive to much of what's actually going on outside of the rich castle town; Cobalion, the head knight who is ruthless and efficient in maintaining the status quo, the real guy in charge, basically; Virizion, the second in command who is known for being gallant but hides a sadistic side; and Terrakion, the big guy who has his doubts about what they're doing and is the closest to Keldeo. There are also Four Generals who serve under each Musketeer directly, but all obey Cobalion over everyone else. There is Baron Bisharp and his army of Komatana, a comical villain who serves as an early antagonist; the dangerous Lady Mienshao, who specializes in torture to obtain what she desires; Sir Escavalier, an honor-bound knight who knows Accelgor from the past; and Duke Golurk, a quiet but powerful man who has protected the royal family for millenniums.. There is also the mysterious Chancellor Cofagrigus, who has motives of his own that even Cobalion doesn't know.

Didn't really think of how the story would go from there, but basically the final scene would have the player character and his partner, atop of Keldeo, ride him across the sea to the human world.

All i think is that Reshiram and/or Zekrom should be some sort of 'third partner' and be size-3, or whatever, 'cause they're able to be inside a normal room if they duck, being about the height of a grown man on the shoulders of another. I also didn't like always having to run around the place as myself and my partner in Time, Darkness, and Sky, but I didn't like how you and your partner become relegated to normal teammates in RB, so maybe you and your partner would follow the current leader?

Epic story! It almost reminds me of one of those "epic fantasy" stories only with Pokémon!

On a side note, I kinda want to see a cyberpunk-eqsue PMD.

I am personally hoping for Drilbur and Mienfoo to be player Pokemon in the next Mystery Dungeon game.

That's better than what I was imagining, but I don't see Keldeo or Mienshao as evil Pokemon, especially since Keldeo is often stated as being a "hero" type Pokemon, it even has the appearance of a hero type character, and it is the star of the upcoming movie where it is allies with Ash. As for Mienshao, it seems more like a kind-hearted Pokemon in appearance rather than a ruthless one, and it is a bit of a powerful Pokemon, and being a Martial arts based Pokemon, a Mienshao character would be more of a "mentor" type character.

I think it would be interesting if humans found a way to infiltrate the Mystery Dungeon world.

Think about it, no one would recognize them since they would be Pokémon. And then slowly, one by one, their forces would be growing until they'd reach the necessary amount of Pokémon for them to overtake that world. Even though that'd mean that the humans would have to play the role of antagonists, I'd be perfectly fine with it. Expanding on human's history in the world of Mystery Dungeon (as it is implied they were once there) wouldn't hurt either.

I want the option to let the personality test decide what Pokemon your partner will be as well as your own. You could let one of friends take the test for the partner and pretend that you are both undertaking an amazing Pokemon adventure together. It's a little thing, but stuff like this make games special for me.

Really? Mienshao seems like it'd make a pretty good villain with "whip" arms and everything. Mienfoo looks like a good guy, but Mienshao seems like it could easily play the antagonist role.

As for Keldeo, my idea wasn't that he was evil...he'd actually be the naive prince, and completely oblivious to what's going on outside of his castle. My idea was that he'd end up being "deposed" in a coup by the real villains, and join up with the hero. The other Musketeers wouldn't be evil, persay, more "extremist", with their hatred of humans making sure they go to whatever lengths necessary to ensure the Pokemon and Human world are kept separate, even if they must become the villains to do so. Cobalion's description of having a "heart like steel" seems like he'd be the type to be a Knight Templar, basically. I think Pokemon Rumble Blast had him as the extremist villain, didn't it? Although I had this idea in mind back when BW first came out.
