New Pokémon silhouettes appear on promo leaflet: More information will surface Sept. 28-Nov. 4

The Japanese blog blue skY has posted two pictures which are supposedly taken from a pre-order leaflet of Pokémon Platinum. They feature five new Pokémon and/or Pokémon formes.

I've seen speculation that they're different formes of Rotom based on different appliances. Personally, I think that does seem like what some of them look like, though I'm not entirely sure what all of them would be.

They look like items to me.
 
They look like synthetic Pokemon to me. IE - Magnemite, Electrode, Rotom, Porygon.
 
Why are you guys so suprised?

Pokémon were never strictly based on animals, so it shouldn't come to no surprise that they'll be Pokémon that clearly aren't.

In addition to being alternate formes of Rotom, they might be Torn World formes of the Regi trio or they might even be entirely new Pokémon that are native to the Torn World.

Not surprised, its just that they are the first things that come to mind. I do think that they are Rotoms who have come to posses other appliances.

None of them ressemble anything remotely Regi-like and why they would change in Torn World while other Pokemon don't is beyond me. Sure supposedly they are "man-made" by ancient people, but then what about porygon? What makes the Regis so special...

...Regigigas maybe, and that's only because every other legendary in the Shaymin movie got a forme change.

Pt is still Gen IV. That'd be like if the Pikablu rumors from RBY were real.

I did say that I thought they were two pikachus trapped in a phone booth. let's hope the unsilhouetted pics are way cooler (you know, like a dark circle being revealed to be Electrode's silhouette)

If these are new Pokemon it will be horrible. There will be debates on whether they are Gen IV or Gen V Pokemon. I'd be siding on the "it was able to be captured on Platinum therefore it is Gen IV" logic. I did manage to glimpse at an Sppf thread labeled "New Gen V Pokes?" and quickly walked away from that.
 
The blue, green and purple one's look like TVs. Maybe they'll bring back the Teachy TV from FR/LG?
 
The colours make me think of evolutionary stones- Water, Thunder or Dawn, Leaf, Fire, and Dusk. ?_?

And the green shadow makes me thing of Chimecho. It looks... floaty. :/

Look at the roundish orange one. Look at Registeel. I DEFY YOU to tell me there's zero resemblance.

I'm not saying it IS Registeel or some alternate forme (not...much of one, if it is), but it looks EXTREMELY close.

That was the one I was actually thinking would make the best candidate for an alternate Rotom. Seriously, why does it need thunderbolt arms like the Telephonebooth Pikachu silhouette.

I still see absolutely no reason for the common Regi to be going through a forme change.
 
Well, to me, they look like evloutions of Rotoms, and maybe Rotom could kinda be like Eevee, by having more then 1 or 2 possible evolutions for a final form.

Also, I don't think they will be available in Platinum. If Platinum comes out on Sept. 13, and information about these guys come out on the 28, it doesn't add up.

I really don't see why they would slap on Eevee's gimmick onto a Pokémon that clearly doesn't deserve anything like that.

Alternate formes seem to be most likely. Or entirely new Pokémon that only appear as promos and are totally uncatchable in Platinum (just like Munchlax, Bonsly, Mime Jr, Weavile and Lucario were in games during DP's promotion.)
 
My thoughts on the new ones:

Blue: That arm looks a bit like one of those things used for grabbing pieces of litter.

Orange: My immediate thought was Registeel, actually.

Green: A surveillance camera?! [/MGS]

Lilac: I'm going to run with the two Pikachu trapped in a phone box idea and nickname it "Pikatardis".

Red: It's Krabby and Rotom's love child! O_O;
 
Well, if they are Rotom forms based on appliances...

Red: Oven Forme (the "claws" remind me of oven mitts, so...)
Purple: Blender Forme
Green: Radio Forme
Blue: TV Forme
Yellow: Uh... Lightbulb Forme?
